where do i go online to sell fighting roosters. where can i find people who will buy them? i have alot of fighting roosters differant kinds and sizes i need to sell as soon as possible but i dont know where to go to find people who want them for their worth... how do i find people who want them for what they are? let me be more specific. i am against fighting roosters. my soon to be ex husband was into it and he is gone and left no money for my kids and so i need to sell his stupid roosters, thats why i dont know where to go cause i dont do it. i need the money cause i am NOT for the fighting. they are in one pen now. they have never fought before. the only reason i say fighting roosters is their breed kind of and aparently they are worth more that way. if anyone knows where i can get $250+ each and them not be fighting roosters great other wise their catagory is fighting even though they haven't fought yet.
If you have chickens, and some baby roosters hatch, and they start fighting when they get bigger, is it ok? Are you guilty of "rooster" fighting even if you did nothing to encourage them to fight? Or are you required to keep them separated? But if you did that, it would look like a "rooster" fighting operation. So what do you have to do? Do you have to kill all but one of the baby roosters? cdabexx, the reason "most people only keep one rooster" is because is they keep more than one, the roosters will fight until one of them is DEAD. Its what they do!
why is fighting dogs and roosters only a misdomeaner? clearly there has to be something done about this. That cruelty to animals is not acceptable. People should speak out. I am so completly disgusted about our justice system. But then again the justice only stands for corrupt. I hope they can pass a bill about the misdemeanor to a felony. People deserve to do at least a yr. over something that horrific.
illegal to have fighting rooster breed as a pet? I live in Hawaii and we have lots of cock fighters around here, so there are lots of wild roosters, anyway I was wondering if you can keep a rooster of a fighting breed (NOT TO FIGHT) or if it's illegal to even own one as a pet?
game fighting roosters? i was just wondering if anyone on here might know some good sights to view and buy fighting roosters?
Where can I get fighting roosters 10 points for answer? I would like to buy fighting roosters and hens I have four hens and five roosters the roosters each have they're own pens so they won't fight but I got those imported from another country and the company who specializes in importing birds which is licensed by the government are no longer doing this because they moved their tropical birds to another location so I want to get some from canada and maybe the usa preferably canada and please note that my hobby is only breeding not fighting because it is cruel and i only sell to other breeders i know and also note that it is not illegal to own these birds only to fight them I don't sell to just any one only neighboors and some relatives they don't selll birds just collect them everyone gives me dumb answers like first of all what do i care about my pheasants fighting i don't own pheasants and i don't want to fight my animals and why would i be suspicious what would a kid like me have to gain from killing animals kids aren't allowed in cock fights everyone gives me dumb answers like first of all what do i care about my pheasants fighting i don't own pheasants and i don't want to fight my animals and why would i be suspicious what would a kid like me have to gain from killing animals kids aren't allowed in cock fights and there is a differnce from a rooster and a fighting rooster not just agressiveness but in physical features
Fighting roosters/Show roosters? Is it against the law to own pure bred roosters. I have some roosters that are full breed they are Sweater and some albany their really nice roosters. I have to seperate them because they will fight to the death. I was given these because my uncle had to get rid of them.He lived in California and had no room in his yard and i live in Arizona.I have 21/2 acre land so i have the space. I just wanted to know if its illegal to own if you don't fight them?
Is it illegal to watch two roosters fight? If two roosters are fighting in my back yard and people come to watch, is that considered "cock fighting"? Could I get into deep trouble, or is it ok as long as there's no bets involved?
Is cock fighting illegal outside of city limits? Apparently cock fighting has been around for centuries. My coworker has 5 fighting roosters and he swears that his newest one is the next champ. I don't know what laws they have, but can a person get in any serious trouble for this?
Why is my rooster fighting with my new hen? I'm adding ten new chickens to my existing flock. They currently can see each other but can't get at one another to fight. One of the new hens is huge, just as big as my roosters. One of the roosters started a fight with this big hen through the chicken wire and they both ended up bleeding! I didn't expect a rooster to fight with a hen? I'm confused? Is it because she's so big? Will they ever get along?
roosters fighting? today my roosters fought each other. i think they are good. it's fun to watch them get dazed and dance around...do you guys think so, maybe i'll just let them go at it again tomorrow?
Would you watch dog fighting if it was televised? Before you criticize my question, let's move South to Puerto Rico where rooster fighting is legal and is pretty much the national sport. By the way, PR is an American Province and it's televised all throughout the country, I enjoyed watching the fights very much. Humans fight, roosters fight, it's on the tv, it's legal, I personally think it would be fine for dogs to fight with all that being said, that's my opinion. My question is would you watch dog fighting if it were on television?
anyone know any fighting rooster breeds? im going to have hens and i need a fighting rooster breed to protect them. my neighbor has 1 cat and i'd like to see it come close to my chickens. any chance if i bought 2 or 3 roosters as chicks then wait till they're older, would they fight over the hens? this way, i'll have 3 roosters protecting my chickens. :] thanks
roosters fighting what would you advise me to do? i have 12 buff Brahma hens and 3 roosters.3 are second year hens and the rest are their daughters that just started laying eggs last week. my old (second year) rooster is the father and the other two are his sons from last year.as long as the young roosters were not interested in the hens they all got along fine .the last couple of weeks the 2 young roosters are trying to mate with the hens and the old one is furious and keeps chasing and attacking them . the top rooster has formed a harem and the young ones are keeping a safe distance i am planing to keep one of his sons and give the other one away soon but their father really seems to hate them both. although they have grown larger than him they do not dare to confront him should i just keep the old rooster?will he be able to take care of 12 hens ? i have been told that since Brahmas are very passive and heavy birds the normal ratio for them is one rooster per 4-5 hens.
Do roosters fight things like birds? Do they fight til death? In the future I am defiantly going to buy a rooster because they kick-butt. Would a rooster fight a pigeon if they were in the same room, and what does it take for 2 roosters to fight. If they are in the same room what's the chance of them fighting, and will they keep fighting until death?
how do u stop 2 roosters from fighting? we have a bantom rooster that we have had for 2 years we also have 2 aracaunas and a leghorn and black star. just yesterday we bout 2 more aracauna hens and a aracauna rooster we interduced the new rooster to some of the old hens and they pecked alittle then were fine but finaly when we interduced the 2 roosters they fought for awile intill the bantom was realy beat down and the aracauna rooster wouldent let off of him so we broke it up and seperated both roosters. then just today we put the roosters back togethor out in the open and they continued to fight intill they were both in realy bad shape then we seperated it again. both are realy good roosters and we dont want to get rid of eather.
Fighting dogs is a hot issue. Is it equally cruel to hunt animals for sport? Dog fighting is becoming more of a hot button issue. Dogs are virtually innocent creatures that should serve as a companion. Oftentimes they are used as an assistant in the recreational killing of other animals. Fighting dogs and roosters is no longer an acceptable form of entertainment. Why do people accept the killing of game for purposes other than food and warmth? How can a group of armed men chasing animals be considered a sport?
My two roosters are fighting. How do I stop it short of putting one in a pot? A rooster came with this house. I bought some chicks and out of 25 half were roosters. I got rid of all but one. Today the older rooster has seriously injured the younger one. The younger one, now a year old, is handicapped with a club foot. He may lose an eye from today's fight. They have scuffled before but not to this degree of injury. Is there anything I can do? The roosters have been living together for some time now, but today it got real bad. Guess I'll have to seperate them or cook 'em.
Do you think it is a good use of public resorces to investigate and inprision people for rooster fighting? I can't say that it bothers me enough to want people in prision. I think it's a silly activity but don't feel like it's on par with other crimes. To some up my views I say, don't we have bigger fish to fry? And why pay so much of our tax dollars to keep them in prision? It just seems like a waste. Roosters are a low form of live to me. Kind of like worms and minows we use for bait. Dogs are different because of their domestication.
where do i sell fighting rooster? i have fighting roosters i need to sell a.s.a.p. but dont know where to find people that want them for that... i dont fight them i never did and i am against fighting them my ex had them and didnt fight them either but he is gone and left no money for the kids so i need to sell them but i dont know anything about that stuff cause i am against it thats why i am asking cause i am not into that kind of stuff... i just need money for my kids and dont want to deal with his stupid roosters anymore. they are beautiful and aparently worth alot but as just a rooster they arent worth much thats why i have to specify as a fighting rooster. i am against fighting but i need the money.
Where to find good roosters.? I am trying to find good fighting roosters. And before you get upset and call PETA or the ASPCA, it is not illegal in most states to own fighting roosters, including mine, Provided you dont fight them, however in my state fighting is legal too. I merely raise the roosters for show because of there slender features and large plumage. Again i do not fight them and if I did it is perfectly legal in my state. Louisiana state law allows cockfights. I, do not fight mine I breed them for fairs and shows. If you live in a state where it is not legal, you can legaly transport them if it isnt for fighting. I do not approve of fighting, but dont believe that the animals should be killed because some people use them for that, that would be like killing all the pit bulls because some people have dogfights. thank you I will say this one last time, FIGHTING IS LEGAL IN LOUISIANA, MINE ARE SHOW. please only answer if you know wher i can find good roosters,
Are phoenixes good chickens to be with other roosters? i know any roosters fight, but are phoenixes one of the breeds that fight to the death? I plan on ordering a phoenix rooster and cochin rooster next spring, I am also be ordering some cochin pullets, and some silkie straight runs.
If two roosters grow up together, will they fight? I'm not sure if All roosters fight, but I know some do. I have been raising two chicks who have been together since birth. and I think they are both going to be roosters. Even if they have been together since birth do you think they will still fight as adults and if they do fight will they cause harm to each other or will it be playful? My overqll question is that if they are both roosters well I have to separate them?
is it a fighting rooster? i think i have a fighting rooster cause one of mines are always fighting with the outher roosters so is it a fighting rooster? and if it is i will try my best to get ride of it
Should Rooster fighting be a federal crime? rooster fighting is popular in Texas and on the news sometimes. Where are the people protesting the cruelty of chickens like ya'll are protesting Vick and him fighting dogs. Aren't these both along the same immoral path???? I could not put C@^* fighting because of the censors on here.
Do roosters fight without hens? If there are no hens around do the roosters still fight. if they do what should i do with them? Obviously I do not want them to die hence i am asking!!!!! and i know it is illegal you jerk!
why dont people understand the difference between dog fighting and cock fighting? for the record as an animal lover both are horrible and inexcusable but i dont understand why people keep saying how come no one makes a big deal about cock fighting like they are with dogs all i can thing of is maybe because: we have pet dogs we love dogs dogs lead the blind around town they save policemans lives they help bust drug lords they are loyal i can go on forever. not that i dont care about roosters i've been around them my whole life at my grandparents house. but no one will make a big deal out of roosters in a dog loving nation
Have you ever seen roosters fight at the expense of entertainment? generally it's called c0ck fighting. Sorry but that's what it's called. I was really disturbed when i watched it and could not watch any more. I thought they just pecked at each other, but these long spur like blades are put on their legs and they engage each other and wave their legs around and the first one that can't stand loses. This is a sport that exists around the world. so what's PETA going to do about this? i saw it on a dvd. Not in real life, thank good ness.
Do Silkie Roosters get along OK with each other in the same pen? I have had other breeds of chickens, so I know basic chicken care. But this is the first time with Silkies. (My hen hatched out 4 Silkie chicks 3 weeks ago from eggs I bought. Can't tell genders yet. ) I've heard that they are more sociable that other breeds and the roosters can live in the same flock together without fighting. Is this true? Any other Silkie advice?
Fighting rooster genes? I have a fighting rooster and I wanted to hatch some eggs that the hen layed. Now when tha chicks grow will they be able to be around other roosters or will they fight and kill each other cuz I dont want that. Will they be safe with other normal roosters Anyone no this
Why is it legal to "hunt" captive animals, while bear baiting and rooster fighting are illegal? First of all, let's clarify my position: I support traditional hunting and fishing, and champion the concept of sportsmanship and stewardship of natural resources. I enjoy eating meat, and appreciate ecology and the natural beauty of fauna. Traditional hunting has many beneficial aspects. Private hunting reserves - game ranches - deer farms: these are commercial sites where "hunters" pay to kill captive animals. Presumably the outcome is guaranteed by the proprietors. A fighting cock has a chance to survive. A captive bear has a chance to kill one of its attackers. These barbaric "sports" have been outlawed for centuries in most places. What could be the motive to "hunt" captive animals, other than the joy of seeing something die? Do you think of someone as more manly who kills captive animals on hunting ranches? Am I missing some redeeming aspect of this activity? Maybe by releasing their agression on an animal, they avoid doing so on a fellow human? Or does it stimulate it? Sorry - Yahoo has chosen to edit my traditional term for the male rooster and replace it with askerisks. It wasn't my choice to spell it this way. Interesting point, "Mass brain". Maybe we should start a discussion on the morality of the situation depicted in the movie "The Running Man", with politicians or lawyers instead of criminals as the targets... There are some parallels. Good answer there, "DamDawg". I guess it all hinges on the definition of "shooting fish in a barrel" and how you define it. I haven't researched this too much, but my understanding is that most of these private reserves are pretty close to what you are describing here. Do you have any data to share? I have seen some video footage of bow-and-arrow "hunters" shooting deer in a manner that looked very cruel and very much like "shooting fish in a barrel". I think that, if the proprietor guarantees the outcome, then it is more likely to be unsporting. Hey There Wazant1 - You too have some interesting points. If you are a traditional hunter, I respect that, as I previously stated. You discussed the increasing efficiency of hunting techniques. I wonder how much something is a "sport" when the outcome is guaranteed. Why is it fun to shoot an animal under controlled conditions but not at a slaughterhouse? How close do the two facilities need to become before we cross the line? Have you heard about the internet game preserves, where you can kill an animal from the internet, via robotically controlled rifle? Has that crossed the line?
How do I tell the difference between chickens and roosters? At home i have nine baby chicks they are now about 2-3 months old (they were born at the end of november) my dad only wants to keep the hens and we are going to give my uncle and grandpa the roosters how can we tell the difference. more info: we think some are roosters because they fight but people have said they all fight please help
What is your opinion on Chicken/Rooster/Cock Fighting? I know everyone has their own opions on this "sport". I'd like to hear some of them. People say this is cruelty to animals. Well if it were an animal fighting, such as a dog, I could understand but a chicken is not an animal. An animal is classified as having 4 legs & a nervous system all of which a chicken has neither of. A chicken is a fowl. This is a trandition that has been going on for years, back when our great grandpa's grandpa was living. I am just a simple country girl who enjoys to go to the chicken/rooster/cock fights. It's a southern tradition. I just want to hear the opions of others & see who else enjoys going to these events.
Brass Fighting Rooster Set-- Antique? I picked up a pair of brass fighting roosters, about 11 inches tall at the tip of the wings/tail, at an estate sale about a year ago. A friend of mine has a pair of silver roosters, and she says her grandfather had at least four other sets. My question is this: What's the story behind them? I have a hunch they're from SE Asia and Pacific Islands (given the history of cockfighting there), but I'm really not sure and I haven't had much luck online. I'm mostly curious about the tradition, when and where they started etc. Also, as I'm completely in love with the few examples I've seen, I'm planning on collecting any I can find in the future. When considering a purchase of a set in the future, are there any indicators of value or a material/design to avoid?
FIGHTING ROOSTER TSHIRT? There was a tshirt with two fighting rooster facing each other in the movie Role Models and i cant find it anywhere....can anyone help me.
Is it legal to own Roosters in Downtown Los Angeles? A couple of my neighbors have confused Roosters that crow at all hours of the day/night. I don't want to assume what they are being kept for, but since there are not chickens kept with them, and there are no farms nearby - first guess = c.o.c.k. fighting (which I believe to be less than legal). Also, where would I report this? Getting tired of waking up at 1:30 to rooster noises.
Found a fighting rooster?? A rooster just came up to us....in very bad condition his wing is broken, bleeding from the back, no comb It looks clearly like a fighting rooster! Now we took him in.....and he is fighting with our other 5 hens and 1 rooster. What should I do? Keep him or not? If I keep him wat bout the fighting? If I dont keep him, wont he die? Who will take him????? PLZ HELP!!
does anybody know two of our roosters died? our roosters are dying and we cant seem to find out why. they have enough space, food and water. and i dont think its from a fight because they grew up together an d we've never seen them fight before with each other. and know we only have 2 roosters left.
rooster fighting a hen? one of my roosters just started fighting one of my hens. i have 8 chicks all together and they are all one month old. he just started doing this like 2 days ago. he jumps up and trys to spur her. i have them all together and its not when there in there pen its when i let them out. also whenever one of the other chickens does something the rooster gets really mad. the hen trys to fight him when he does that too. he has tried to fight he other rooster too. should i seporate the rooster from the other chickens or do you think he will stop? i was thinking about just putting him in his own pen for a while and then moving him back with the others but im afraid the other rooster will fight him then. non of them have gotten hurt because the rooster hasnt gotten big spurs yet but i think soon he might hurt them if he keeps doing this and i dont do anything about it.... so please what should i do?!?!?! thanks!!!!
Is Bull Fighting OK and Dog or Rooster Fighting Not ? In light of the Michael Vick Dog Fighting Issue do you think it was the same as Southern Rooster Fighting or Bull Fighting in Mexico or Spain and Culturally OK. Should Bull and Rooster Fighting Be Banned Also Worldwide?
A question about the aggressive roosters that are used for fighting? Do they attack hens, too??? I was wondering if a rooster like that would go after a weasel if he was used as a guard in a chicken pen. I saw an animal shelter show on animal planet where a whole bunch on them were seized . They didn't tell the viewers if they get "put down" or not. I'm sure that they do get "put down" because I don't think that they'd make suitable pets, but I wonder if one would make a good guard for a chicken coop with a weasel problem.
Legal fighting chickens? I would like to know where to get registered chickens I own two fighting roosters that I enter in shows. I do have one who is going to fight, but Its legal cuz I live in LOUISIANA, before you respond with threats to report me please be aware of two things: 1: What I am doing is 100% legal if you dont believe me check with the ASPCA and PETA , keywords; LOUISIANA, and NEW MEXICO 2: I dont care P.S. you dont have to censor cock if you mean rooster Dear sdkramer76, First I admire that you express your opinion and respect this, however you made an ass of yourself as you tried to make me feel like crap. Once again I have Offended a close-minded animal rights advocate. And in response to your decided fate for me I would love to fight with another person for money, sadly street fighting is illegal. I dont want to come of as a savage, as I have six dogs and love them dearly, P.S. Where in your rant did you answer my question? That my friend is abuse.
fighting roasters? I have a fighting rooster not for fighting I just like the way he looks. Well I wanted to hatch some of the eggs that the hen that is with him has layed. Now will the chicks that are born once they grow up and become roosters will they be able to live around other roosters or will they just fight. Will they be normal???????
Should game rooster-fighting be illegal? For the last 20 plus years (my life) you could only game rooster-fight in Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma. I never was a participant but I believe there was no harm in it. Oklahoma has made it illegal. (my state)
