Game Roosters...................? First things first I am not interested in fighting game roosters, because It is wrong and Illegal, But I am Interested In having one because they are such badas$es, It would be nice to have a guard rooster around the house. So how much would one cost and I was also thinking about getting a chicken for the rooster to mate with and hopefully the chicken would lay some eggs that are roosters, and when the roosters get big sell them as game roosters. I was wondering how much money It would cost to start up and how much profit I could make from it. But I would like to know is it legal to sell game roosters in the state of texas?

Will my wyandottes breed with my game chickens? Will my wyandottes breed with my game chickens?? If so what bird would this make or would it just be useless? Another question is i have one rooster right now and he is a game rooster...if i got a wyandotte rooster would my game rooster try to kill him/fight him?

Raising Game chickens? I just inherited 12 game chickens. I'm not going to fight them or anything so nobody worry about that. But I have never raised chickens before. The only reason I have these is because someone at my husband's work didn't want them anymore so we took them. We have two full grown roosters, 5 baby roosters, 2 full grown hens, and 2 baby hens. One of the hens laid and egg. She never sat on it though. We made them coops to sit in. Do they know which eggs will hatch and which won't. She only laid that one and the other hasn't laid any. Do they only lay at certain times? I have two kids and I want some baby chickens for them to play with and I just don't know when to expect them or if we are doing something wrong to prevent them from laying any. How old are they when you need to separate the roosters? We've had to separate the hens because one almost killed the other. I didn't think the hens would fight. I just could use some help PLEASE!! I have never had chickens and if it weren't for the feed mill I wouldn't know what to feed them.

I'm being bullied in school. Please help. ? Ugh, I've posted this before most likely, but I don't get this at all, so... here we go again. Anyway, I get bullied in school a lot. Every day, really, and it has not stopped since freshman year. I'm a senior now, and the school year is ending in a few months, but I am not sure if I can take it much longer. They will not leave me alone, and it has gone from three main people to the whole entire school in on it. When I walk into the doors, they trip me, throw paper at me, laugh, whisper things to each other, and I don't really know what to do back to them except just smile back. I've never fought back before, never retaliated, never said anything... I know that all of that would make it worse, give them more of an excuse to pick on me, and then there would be no chance of them feeling bad about it... Besides, I'm built too skinny and twiggy to really have any luck with fighting back, anyway. I have no friends at all, despite my efforts. Last year, I decided to go on my Christian church group to build homes for the less fortunate. There were some students from my school there, and I was bunked with them, and I thought it might help, but it didn't. I was just isolated. I had hoped that I would make a friend, but I didn't make any with the people at my school, and I know it's just because they don't want to be associated with me when we get back. And I really can't blame them for it. They've tied me up and put me in the back of their trunk before, beat me up in the middle of school, and this happens daily. Last week, they had beat me up and took my pants, leaving me with my boxers in the girls' locker room showers bleeding, and I was humiliated when the girls came in and saw me like that. At the football game, we fought the Roosters, and they duck taped my legs and arms and stuck feathers on me and put me in the middle of the football field, and one of them got chicken wings for people to throw at me. They kick the back of my chair during class, put little pieces of paper in the back of my hair, and write me notes that insult me and my religion, drawings of me that are just... unbelievably painful. I've had a knife put up to my throat before and I've been strangled a countless number of times, and really, all I want to do is be their friends. I don't want to go to school anymore. I have bruises and cuts that are turning to scars. I don't want to look at these and remember my life as that in high school. Please, please help. Thank you everyone who answered. This is something I really need help with, however, as... stupid as it sounds, going to authorities, even though I have only a few more months of school, isn't going to make them like me, is it? I think it would only add fuel to the fire, and I don't want that. Thank you, though. I really do appreciate it.

Will these chicken get along? I have four chickens. A rooster and a hen of a modern game breed bantams and two bantam wyandotte hens. If I put them in A coop together, will they fight or get along? Their is only ONE rooster and three hens. Will they fight? Thanks!

young rooster having leg problems? I have a barred rock rooster about 6-7 months old. he's a very large rooster for his age and also a brown leghorn rooster, golden campine,and another barred rock. 4 total and 24 red star hens, 3 black minorcas, 2 brown leghorn hens, 2 barred rock hens and 1 mixed game hen. all the same age and raised with each other. the problem is the brown leghorn rooster killed the other b.l. rooster and they are only 7 months. now my big barred rock rooster is limping and can only put weight on one foot. I think the brown rooster got him but i haven't seen any problem with them fighting. the coop is big with a 32 foot run by 8. and a 8 by 4 house. hens are laying and all the chickens are getting along with the pecking order. what happend? i took him out and put him in a round pen for now. but he is trying to get back bad. what happend????

Rasing Game Chickens? We just inherited a family of fighting chickens. We have one Cock, 5 stags, 2 full grown hens, and 3 pullets. One of the hens layed and egg but she just disgarded it and I don't know anything about chickens so I was wondering if someone could help me out. Do they only lay eggs certain times of the year? When do they lay on their eggs and why would they not? We have all the roosters in seperate cages of course because they can't get along. We went to feed them yesterday and one of the roosters was dead. He looked fine. What could have happened? Will the hens eventually peck each other to death or will they do that all the time. We have the hens in the same cage but they seem to be pecking each other alot. Should we separate them too?
