Where in Sydney can I get my Rooster castrated? Me and my son are extremely attached to our 3 month old rooster Spotty. We wont be able to keep him for very much longer unless we get him castrated. We have other chickens so we can't have him fertilising the eggs. Also when he starts crowing my neighbours can have him taken off me and killed. I was told he was female when I got him. Roosters hooker Jake Friend charged with possession of prescription drugs,how much of a d!ckhead is this guy? Controversial Sydney Roosters hooker Jake Friend has been charged with possessing a quantity of valium without a prescription. The player was searched by police on patrol in Coogee after the Roosters loss to Cronulla. A police spokesman said he was found to have a quantity of valium without a prescription. He was arrested and charged with two counts of possessing a prescription drug without permission. Friend was given bail and is due at Waverley Local Court on June 30. Sydney roosters released a statement confirming charges have been laid against Friend. The Roosters said they had consulted with their own medical staff and were "of the firm belief that there is an innocent explanation." "The club believes that as the charges are addressed and dealt with appropriately this will become clear to all parties." Friend, 20, has had a troubled few years at the Roosters, his contract torn up in December after he was charged for refusing to pay a taxi fare. After going through counselling and rehabilitation Friend was signed to a new contract with the Roosters last month. Friend was also convicted of drink-driving and charged for an alleged nightclub assault earlier in 2009. What is the funniest thing you've heard someone shout at a football match? Just want to know. For me it would be either at a rugby match when the ref made a bad call and a guy in front of me stood up and shouted "I DISAGREE!" at the top of his voice. Nate Miles Suspended For 6 Weeks? SYDNEY Roosters forward Nate Myles has been suspended for six weeks over his drunken behaviour at a Central Coast hotel on Sunday morning. The National Rugby League and Roosters agreed to the punishment after Myles was found to have defecated (Crapped) in a hotel corridor last weekend after attending a junior rugby league function. Noise complaints were made at 4am against the room in which some of the Roosters players were staying. Shortly after 8am on Sunday morning Myles was found apparently disorientated and naked in a hotel corridor and attempted to gain entry into the room of a family who was leaving their accommodation. A short time later he was found to have defecated (Crapped) elsewhere in the hotel corridor and was later discovered in a fire escape. The Roosters club has also been fined $50,000 because of the number of alcohol-related incidents which have affected the club this season. For me it would have to be 32 year old Scott Sattler's chase and tackle in the 2003 NRL Grand Final to take 23 year old Todd Byrne out and turn the whole game in Penrith's direction. Byrne was racing down the sideline and a try woud have taken the Sydney Roosters to the lead 12-6. Todd Carney getting bashed in Atherton ? AAP © Sacked NRL star Todd Carney is recovering with a black eye after allegedly being bashed by a group of four young men in far north Queensland. Carney's agent David Riolo said the incident happened in Atherton about 3am on Sunday. After Carney was sacked by Canberra following a string of alcohol-related incidents, eyebrows were raised when he took up residence and employment at a pub as part of a one-year deal with Cairns league club Atherton Roosters. But Riolo said that Carney was an innocent party Sunday's incident. "If you get jumped from behind by four blokes it's not like you are an instigator," he told AAP. "He's a bit rattled but he's okay." Riolo conceded that Carney had a "target on his head" when he went out at Atherton but said his client was happy overall with the way he had been accepted by the town. "He's going well. He is working hard. He's just disappointed that he's been whacked but that's life," Riolo said. Four men - aged 19, 21, 25, 23 - have been charged with public nuisance and will appear in Atherton Magistrates Court on June 2. Riolo said Carney had initially asked that charges not be laid. Atherton Roosters president Mick Nasser - who also employs Carney at the Barron Valley Hotel - said he had no problem with the star halfback being out at 3am despite his history. "He wasn't drunk. He had had just a few drinks. And it's the only time he has a drink - after games," Nasser said. "Otherwise he is working hard or training or doing junior development around the area. "Look, he's the innocent victim in this. "He was at a 21st, some bloke on the drink provoked him, he walked away from it, didn't want a bar of it, they followed him down the road and bashed him. "He didn't even want to press charges, didn't want it in the papers." Nasser said Carney was more embarrassed by the incident and would be fit to play the team's next game against Tully this weekend. "It has made him think twice about going out," Nasser said. "Most of the people up here are really good to him. "But unfortunately all it takes is a couple of idiots to spoil it." Carney has been linked to a return to the NRL with the Sydney Roosters from 2010.

TOWNSVILLE (Australia): An Australian rugby coach fined himself 10,000 Australian dollars ($8,120) on Saturday after a drunken escapade in which he tried to gain access to a woman's hotel room. Police found Brad Fittler, coach of the Sydney Roosters, heavily intoxicated and wearing only shorts early Friday after the woman made a complaint. ``I am disappointed with myself and apologize unreservedly to the occupants of the room who I disturbed,'' Fittler said at a press conference Saturday. ``My behavior was unacceptable and I have fined myself $10,000.'' The rugby club said the money will be donated to a Salvation Army women's refuge charity. ``Police have confirmed the incident regarding Brad, and based on the information we have received at this time we are happy with the course of action taken,'' said Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce, who also spoke to Fittler and hotel management about the incident. NRL's notorious bad boy Todd Carney and a friend are accused of burning a man's buttocks, scrotum and upper thigh, after deliberately setting his pants on fire, the Seven Network reports. The newly-signed Sydney Roosters footballer had been holidaying with mates at Airlie Beach in north Queensland when the alleged incident occurred. Proserpine Hospital confirmed a man was admitted for burns on New Year's Day. Queensland Police have also confirmed the injuries, but say they will only investigate if the victim makes a formal complaint. There's no suggestion the attack was malicious but Carney has an infamous past. The 23-year-old former Canberra Raiders player has been convicted for drink-driving, arrested after a high-speed police chase, charged with malicious damage, accused of urinating on a man at a Canberra nightclub, and even been banned from his home town of Goulburn. The Raiders sacked him, and just as it looked like his career could be all but over, the Roosters offered him a lifeline. Carney is due to take the field in the next few weeks, pending the result of an inquiry now underway at the club. Yes he should'nt be playing in the NRL yes he should get his contract ripped into little peices but its a Damn funny story though. Matt King, is one of those centres that gets put on the wing.

Here is a bit of what he had to say: Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett says AFL players are better behaved than their rugby league counterparts and that is why Australian Rules is in a more stable state. Speaking on ABC 1's Offsiders program, Kennett jumped on the numerous examples of ill-discipline by NRL players off the field. Manly full-back Brett Stewart, Sharks half-back Brett Seymour and young Roosters hooker Jake Friend have all been in hot water barely one week into the NRL season after alcohol-fuelled incidents. Kennett said Australian Rules is head and shoulders above the rest of the country's football codes because of its discipline. "Because of its connection with community, because of the quality of its administration, and the quality of the way in which the players accept responsibility for their own behaviour," he said. The former Victorian premier said by accepting responsibility for its actions, the AFL is able to fully back the expansion of the game. "So can we afford to go to the Gold Coast? Can we afford to go to Western Sydney? Certainly, our competing codes are saying to us, you certainly can, because we can't manage ourselves," he said. Are AFL players really better behaved? The only difference i can see is that AFL players don't tend to be accused of the sexual assaults, but that is about it. The alcohol problems are still there. Blame Gallop and his cronies, NRL is the worst run comp in Aust, Russell Crowe was spot on when he said they are the poor relations of Aust. sport, a player like Williams is entitled to earn twice as much as he is, but as we all know the NRL generates diddly squat in revenue, maybe all you sydney couch potatoes should get of your acre and pay to go to a match rather than sipping a chardonnay on the couch, no wonder your clubs are on there knees, and while the ratings may be good the money paid by 9 and foxtel for the telecast rights are miniscule compared the AFL who not only get huge, huge crowds they also get big TV dollars, wake up to yourself NRL fans your game is going down the gurgler and when the AFL's 2 new teams are introduced it will be even tougher, I mean 26.000 at the Swans game v Adelaide last night, you wont get that for Manly v Roosters
The turn-around teams in '09? Who do think will be a better team next year, and who do you think will go down hill? I think Bulldogs will be a far better team who will make the top 8 Sharks will do better, be better contenders for the premiership. Warriors now with Stacy Jones are going to be a hard team to beat.South Sydney will be a much more experienced, stronger team, with the team on paper they should make the top 8 pretty easy. Storm might go downhill a bit, with some of their backs & forwards leaving.Broncos have lost more than their gain of Folau, they might struggle. I think panthers will be on the bottom of the ladder, being not the best team this year, their best players are leaving which will damage them bad, and Roosters will need to work hard to cover their leaving players too...
