The other issue is the guy selling them is actualy only selling the egg, unhatched and is located in Cameroon, Flora. How do I report food product contamination? i worked for Pilgrim's Pride, a major producer and distributor of chicken to grocery stores and KFC. I was in the quality department. One of my jobs was to take samples from chicken and the machines that cut and portioned the chickens and check for salmonella and e-coli. Every single weak the e-coli levels exceeded acceptable limits and I reported these findings to management. I submitted these reports to management that were to be forwarded to the on sight USDA investigators. Most of the USDA personnel grew up in the area (rural Kentucky) and were acquainted with our staff in one way or another ( related to or in school together). There were times when the bacteria levels were so high that in 24 hours in the incubator the tops popped off of the petrie dishes. This goes far beyond "failure" levels of "too numerous to count" or TNTC. I not only witnessed many practices that created hazardous food safety standards, I was ordered by my supervisors to overlook these situations and told to falsify documentation so that when we turned it in to the USDA it was clean. I quit upon my own accord and do not buy chicken for my household because I know that it is unsafe. How do I stop this? This company knows that the family of a sick or dead child cannot pin it on them and it is just cheaper for them to falsify paperwork than to actually keep the factories clean. So, how do I stop this without ruining my life?

How to keep a duck egg alive? okay so my friend and i were outside and i noticed an abandonded duck egg. my friend said that she saw a mama and a dada duck last weekend and that's when she noticed the egg. it hadn't had the parents come back 4 a week so we took it in. all the other eggs in the nest were cracked open but this one.we hypothesized they had had some animal get in. we were pretty sure it was dead but we still tried. we put it under a lamp and in a box with towels. when we looked at it in the light we noticed that it was full of liquid. but we learned it was yolk. also it was cold when we got it. and everything we read said it was dead. but it hadn't really been hot all week and it was in the shade. once it warmed up we noticed that it moved but we thought it was crazy. then a couple hour later it moved again. what should we do? we want to keep it alive but are VERY worried. does anyone know how to make a good cheap incubator. thanx. I've lost 2 clutches of eggs third one probably on the way PLEASE HELP ME? I have 2 leopard geckos. My female has layed 2 clutches in the last month and a half and neither of them made it past a day. i tried the whole vermiculite thing... ratio to water all that crap... at a constant temp of approx. 80*F(against the side of the terrarium where the UTH is, eggs inside a tupperware with lid no vents due to lack a humidity). I candled them too but they turn up yellow, this usually means the eggs aren't fertilized, correct? but i incubated them anyways. Just so everyone knows i didn't turn the eggs upside down or anything stupid like that. I need to know these things: 1) What is the cheapest incubator i can get that actually works or how can i make an efficient homemade one? 2) How humid do the eggs need to be kept or is it truly relevant? (i live in the mojave desert it is always between 4-8% humidity) 3) Do a gecko's first few clutches usually spoil like this? 4) Anyone know what it looks like when you cross a female Raptor Leo and a male Super Tangerine Leo? (Please know I got this breeding pair by chance I had no idea they would breed until I got curious and looked up online what they look like pregnant. I have no where to take my geckos so I have to handle this and I don't want the eggs to keep dying.) Everyones positive input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Poultry Heat Lamp alternatives? My ducklings will be hatching out in 2 weeks time, so i am just about to buy a heat lamp to keep them nice and toasty. However, heat lamps are quite expensive (£20ish) and i was wondering if there was a cheaper option? (for any product suggestions, i am in the UK) There will only be two ducklings from this batch (small incubator) so i dont need anything huge. Thanks for any ideas

Help with my U/G Myr Deck? Alright, here's the deck list. The questions I have are at the bottom (Type 1.5 format): 4x Ornithoper 4x Phyrexian Walker 4x Myr Servitor 4x Myr Enforcer 2x Myr Incubator 2x Myr Matrix 2x Overrun 4x Fabricate 3x Thirst for Knowledge 4x Silver Myr 4x Copper Myr 2x Cranial Plating 2x Lodestone Myr 4x Tree of Tales 4x Seat of the Synod 4x Darksteel Citadel 10x Island 9x Forest Basic strategy: - Send out cheap blockers on turn 1 and 2 such as Ornathoper and Myr Servitor to block early game rushes. If it's possible, send out Copper and Silver Myrs to build up mana. At any feesable time, Myr Enforcer would be played to allow a much stronger defensive force. - Either top deck a Fabricate or Thirst for Knowledge Fabricate. Then, search for Myr Incubator and play it. Next turn, remove all remaining artifacts (Possibly leaving in Myr Matrix if the other deck is an aggro deck) from my Library and flood the field with Myrs. - The only remaining cards in my Library are Overrun, Fabricate, and Thirst for Knowledge. If I draw Fabricate, I don't do anything. If I draw Thirst, I use it. If I use Overrun, I use it. Now to the questions: - Does Myr Enforcer really fit in the strategy? A 4/4 for 3-4 mana on average is fairly decent, but it doesn't really add anything. - Do I really need Myr Matrix? - I'm interested in a sideboard, but what? I know I need a couple cards to prevent Wrath of God or Rout or any other mass creature destruction from countering my entire strategy, but what? - Any other general comments are welcome. Oops. I mistyped. It was meant to be 6 Islands and 5 Forests (10/9 were going to be my totals). It's a little over 60 in the correct count (64, the 4 Darksteel Citadels are the extras) Secondary edit - I picked Myr Matrix and Incubator to create a game ending flood of 1/1s or 2/2s. I have a feeling I won't get through with a swarm of Myrs otherwise.

How long should it take or a Muscovy duckling to hatch from the time it pips externally? We had a pair of Muscovys sitting on a shared nest, last wednesday was when the eggs were due to hatch but by Saturday there were still no signs of life. When I came back from work on Sunday afternoon I saw that the 2 ducks had left the nest and were in the yard but as I walked past the chicken house I thought I heard faint cheaps. I went in an took a look at the eggs, there were no duckings or hatching eggs but I could hear cheaping! So I rushed inside and turned on the incubator, alerted my brother who said the ducks had been off the eggs for almost 3 hours! We put all 20 eggs in the incubator and by the monday morning there were a few that had pipped externally. Now on Tuesday afternoon there are still no hatched ducklings, none are even close, but these eggs are almost a week over their due date! I am worried about exaustion and suffocation, does anyone know if Muscovys are very slow at hatching? Or do I have a problem, should I help them out?

What Do I Need To Know About Raising Chickens? My family and I live on 6 acres out in the country and we want to raise chickens for eggs. I was in the FFA for 3 years and we raised them at school so I have a good feel on it. We had them in a coop, It was a wood structure with a door, open spaces with wire net around it, and it had food, water, etc. I thought that if we built the same thing at my house that it would work well. Would it be cheaper and easier to buy the chicks after they are hatched so I dont have to mess with an incubator? Plus we have big gardens every spring and summer, so we figured we could use the chicken manure. Does this sound like a good idea? Please give any tips and advice!
