Chicks? ---? They start out walking slowly and low to the ground, but the still eat and drink. And slowly it gets to where they can't walk, can't drink, can't eat, and they start to lose control over their body's. It's like they're paralyzed, but having seizures at the same time. One has already died, and 2 others have got it, one is on the brink of death, and one is showing the early signs. They're in separate boxes and away from the others. What do you think it could be? Is it contagious? Help! EVERYONE! Before you say take them to the vet, know that I am NOT going to take them to the vet. We CANNOT afford to take them in. Thank you.

How can I get a hen with 7 chicks and 9 other hens from two differnt farms to get a long and coop up at night? Just created this managerie last weekend. The two ducks and four of the hens go in at night and nest well. The four young hens and the hen with chicks all want to nest in trees. Will tightening up their pen space, clipping their wings and forcing them inside eventually make it work?

A pair of zebra finches has three baby chicks? & one of them has only one leg. The oldest is 7 days old, the one leg is 6 days old (Hops), and the youngest is 4days old. The other 2 chicks are fine. Is it okay for a mother hen to free range with her week old chicks? As soon as I discovered that we had unexpected children, I put them all together in the chicken nursery. The problem is that I also had another batch of chicks in there that were store bought. I am having some very serious pecking issues. I do not think two of the motherless chicks will survive. The hen is keeping her babies seperated from the rest and is very possessive over the food and water placed in the nursery. I was thinking it might be best to release her and her babies to free range again, but wanted a second opinion because I am new to this.
