baby chicks? i have two baby chicks they are 3 weeks old i got them when they were 3 days old when i got them i really didnt get a chance to ask any questions so i wanted to know how old do they have to be when they stop needing the heat lamp when can i start feeding them regular chicken feed any tips or pointers would be great help thanks

Baby chicks? When can baby chicks be moved outside? We have an extremely nice/secured chicken coop/house and some baby chicks. They currently have feathers on their wings and tails. Baby Chicks? I need to know proper care of baby chicks. The fact that I'm even asking seems silly since I grew up with chickens that each year had babies, but I just want to make sure I don't "mess up"... How high is too high for baby chicks?? This is my first time hatching chicks. I'm a teacher, and my incubator is in the back of my classroom. Somehow, my incubator got cranked up to at least 110 degrees for approximately 15 to 20 minutes the first day the eggs were put into the incubator. Are the eggs most of us have for breakfast really baby chicks that never had a chance to hatch? If so, why aren't the considered chickens that never developed?

How many baby chicks(canaries) will survive from the first Clutch? My canaries have 4 eggs and will hatch in 3-4 days! What is the average of their survival, like how many will surive? The dad and the mom look very caring and I feed them apples, oranges, lettuce, eggfood and so don't worry about that part. I was just wondering what's the average of their survival like 2 out of 4 because I hope some of you own and breed canaries!Thanks!
