- What if you take the chicken cut it up, add some chooped up onions, green, yellow, and red peppers. Cut up some potatoes or maybe rice, sprinkle with maybe black pepper, and some salt. When done maybe pour some gravy over it
- Take a can of mushroom soup with the chicken and put in some onions, celery and rice. It will taste great and be hearty.

- you will need: 1 whole skin ON chicken 1 large garlic clove minced finely butter at room temp parsley black pepper salt 3 large potatoes 5-6 medium carrots 1 stalk celery 1 Large onion sliced mix the butter, garlic and parsley in a container and set aside Wash the chicken and the veggies well. cut all veggies into 1-2 inch chunks (peel veggies if you like them peeled) with the skin on the chicken take your hands and pull up the skin to that you can rub the meat but do not remove the skin!! take the butter/garlic mixture and smear under the skin. Place chicken in the crock and arrange veggies sprinkle with salt pepper and your choice of seasonings cook until done i like to put it on medium and let it simmer all day ( on high is usually about 2-4 hours) I remove the skin when done * This recipe can also be prepared on the grill Enjoy!
- You could put the chicken in the crockpot and cover it with Bar b que sauce and let it cook.

- SPANISH CHICKEN take 4-6 split chicken breasts and season well with salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder and place in crockpot. Mix 1 6 0z. can of tomato paste with 4-6oz. of beer and pour over chicken. Then take 1 3 oz. jar of stuffed olives with their liquid and pour over chicken. Cover & cook on low 8-10 or High 3-4 hrs. Serve over rice or noodles. ( This came out of my old original "Rival" crockpot recipe book, I have been using it for years) Delish! (You can tweak it to your own taste,...sometimes I add a little hot pepper flakes to jazz it up!)
- A version of Poule au pot: Put the whole chicken in a pot and add water to half an inch under the top of chicken. Bring to the boil and simmer for half an hour. Add 1 whole onion, 2 leeks, 3 carrots, half a dozen celery branches, garlic and herbs (thyme, laurel). Its hard to include the veggies in the confined space...but eventually they will soften up and they wil all fit. 30 more minutes and ready. Discard the celery and serve with its soop and separately boiled potatoes. Dijon mustard and ketchup. Bon appetit !
- here are a couple that I do. I use boneless chicken breast or thighs right out of the freezer. brocc cheese chicken; in the am add 4-5 breasts (frozen or thawed), boneless 1-2 cans cheese an brocc soup or cream of brocc 1-2 an water let this cook on low all day while at work. When yu get home drop in a few handfulls of either frozen or fresh broccoli. Let cook til they are done, stir all together, shredding chicken. Mix in some grated chedder, let melt and serve over rice. mex chicken in am drop 4-5 chickn breasts into crock pot, sprinkle with 1 pck taco seasoning. Add some salsa or tomato sc. whatever you hae around. Add some chicken broth or water too. you need the chicken to be covered with liquid. I also add green chilis or jalapenos when we want it hot. Let this cook on low all day. Shred when you get home and use for tacos, burritos, quesedillas or whatever you like. You can also do the above with chicken but also add a bag of dried white beans (navy) and some onions and peppers. Use chili seasoning instead of taco and you will have delish white chili when you get home.Make sure to add extra water for the beans, about 2-3 more cups.
