Chook Me!

I have a chicken for the crockpot recipe.. Am I supposed to put the chicken in raw?

I know its stupid, but Im realy not sure (first time using this) Do I put the chiken tenders in the crock pot raw and let them cook all day like that, or do I precook them first? (recipe doesnt say either way) And the recipe is for chicken and dumplings.. so there will be cream of chicken and other things in it aswell. Thank you everyone. Was that supposed to be offensive, Clara? I think its time grow up, dont you? ;)

  1. You just put the chicken in raw.
  2. It depends. You can sear them first. (brown both sides but not fully cooked). Then add them to the crock pot. This will add a lot of flavor to the dish. or You can just put them in raw and enjoy.
  3. That's the idea, Smart One. The chicken goes in raw......
  4. Yes, let yhem cook all day, they will be good and tender.
  5. Put them in raw and they will cook thru the day. Slow cookers are made to do that. Have fun, once you start crockpot cooking you will love it.
