- Debone the chicken toss all the veggies and chicken in some water chopped up add a little salt and pepper( just a pinch or two of both) and cook for the day.
- Look in allrecipes.com or foodnetwork.com there are tooooo many receipes for crockpots, you will have a lot to choose this way. good luck
- Do a google search I found heaps on there.
- no
- Crockpots are made with metal, ceramics or a combination of both. I would not advise eating one. Could be hard on the children's teeth.
- make sure the person ur getting the crock from is trust worthy. and also that ur pot is big.
- Brown the chicken, slice the potatoes and veggies. Put it all in with some chicken broth, cream of mushroom soup, and onion soup. Diced tomatoe would be ok too.
- I usually use beef stew meat, not chicken. However, the question is, do you have 2 cans of Cream of Mushroom soup or Tomato soup? I like the mushroom soup because that becomes the gravy. I put an onion, carrots, potato's, and meat into the pot, add soup and water, then some spices. A few hours later I make some rice and put into the bottom of a bowl then serve the stew over it. Do NOT fill the crock pot all the way up. Leave about an inch from the top because it will bubble over and make a mess. Don't combine the tomato and the mushroom soups. It's one or the other. I wasn't clear on that. sorry.
- You can google crock pot recipes and youll get a ton. My favorite fall back (and it does have wine in it, but the alcohol content leaves and it's just a great taste, but you can sub apple jucie or cranberry juice) So put some liquid in bottom of crock pot, then potatoes, veggies and chicken on top, put about a cup of chosen liquid (Chicken broth, white wine, juice etc ) and juice of 1 lemon, pepper and garlic pwder. Cover and cook on low for 9 hours or high for 5.5 take everything out of crock pot when it is all tender enough for you and add some flour to make a gravy - or if you have some powered soup mix (onion soup) and mix to make a light gravy - it's really easy and really good
- Seems like you have got some really great answers so far I will toss this info at you I found the best cookbook just for slow cookers it is called Slow cooker recipes by Campbell's soup Co. Since I started using this gem i have become a hero. One thing i also learned is how to stock your pantry to have all the right stuff on hand it makes it so much easier. Good luck
- You have some great answers already but I personally would cook the chicken (debone) Add the chicken, cut up potatoes, and veggies, 3 or 4 chicken boullion cubes, salt and pepper, add water (leave some space for it to boil) and let it cook for about 6-8 hours and I bet your family will love it with some bread and butter on the side. Good luck!
