1. I'm a little confused by your question.... To me, the ideal poultry is "free-range" poultry - but I really don't run into that problem - my boyfriend's parents live on a farm so we get all our beef, pork & poultry from what they raise for family use only.......The best meat I've ever had!!
2. Clearly, the previous poster didn't understand the question <chuckle>. It depends on where you live. Ideal ships from Texas, I believe, and the stock are healthy when shipped. But consider factors like time of year, weather, shipping time to where you live, etc. Friends here (west coast) who have dealt with them have been satisfied.
3. They have a good reputation as does Murray McMurray. I know people who have bought from both. I have only bought from M.Mc. Good service, very nice chicks and ducklings. Check for availability of the breed you want though. Some are only available for certain times of the year.
