- when it became the cheapest
- when they became lazy and lost the ability to fly
- When people realized it was cheaper and available anywhere.
- they are the easiest to breed and care for...so they just became the dominant source of poultry due to efficiency.
- I have to admit I prefer duck so I'm always bgging friends to come with me to the chinese restruants around my area. But I gotta say chicken is just so easy o get one of my mums friends has her own chicken farm in her back garden she lets them out in the summer and we collect eggs sometimes. a chicken once flew for thirteen seconds. True Fact.
- Back in the 1920's, or something, chicken was a delicasy. Not many people could afford it (the Great Deppression was on) and eating chicken was a symbol of being well-to-do, as was owning one of them new fangled horse-less carriages. Some president of the United States made a campaign promise to put 'a car in every garage and a chicken in every pot'. He followed through on it and the automobile and poultry industries took off and cars and chickens became staples of American life for generations to come.
- Ducks are harder to raise and maintain because they have this tendency to want to MIGRATE... Chickens, on the other hand... don't do anything like that. ...and they even crossed the road to the poultry factory, though I don't know why. ;-)
- The chicken became popular and the top poultry hundreds of years ago! Most people lived on Farms and had to feed themselves without the help of a supermarket. Chickens were the cheapest and easiest bird to raise-feed- as well as the CHEAPEST so thats how it became so popular. Still today its the cheapest form of poultry there is out there for the same reasons. The chicken farms raise them by the million- and that makes it cheaper for us to feed our families.
- Oh no, the Chick-Fil-A cows’ insidious plot is coming to fruition…
