what expenses can you deduct on a poultry farm?
Public Comments
- thats a chicken shit question
- I'm guessing here; Soil (probably needs to be changed regularly to stop them sitting in their own crap) Feed Vet bills For yourself - Petrol going to buy chicken food Not much really.
- check with your accountant (as I am not one), but here are a few standard things to consider: feed, repairs to facilities, vehicles, phones, computers, client entertainment (meetings), mortgage for property, association dues/meetings and any related travel, continuing education, internet service
- any expense related to producing income from the poultry would be a deduction against income from the poultry. so,, something like feed or medicine or something to water the birds from or the water they drink would be a deduction,, but a trip to Rome, Italy would not be a deduction. You don't depreciate the land you have the birds on,,
