Chook Me!

is my diet good?

Um... ill write down a sort of average day of what i eat: breaky: cereal and milk/ maybe toast << yh thats probly my fav breakys morning snack: sometimes i eat a slice of pizza at school/sometimes skip and eat nothing lunch: could have a sandwich/ a different meal such as pasta/lasagne/potaoes (what my school serves that day) when i get home i have dinner quite early round 5ish- um..i eat different stuff everyday. My mum doesnt deep fry but she does shallow fry some stuff like meat or chicken. A normal dinner is probably some meat/poultry with potatoes/rice/pasta and salad. after dinner i eat fruit mostly but if we have biscuits or something in the house i snack on that. I only drink water. The reason why im asking this is because on my dad's side there a history if heart disease and obesity ( my mums is the opposite, with everyone being skinny and healthy lol) im just worried because i dont want to die young from heart disease or something and wanted to know if my diet was ok. im im 14 5'6"/7" and 110/112 pounds. and if its bad- what should i eat

  1. no junkfood and fast food, its better if you dont eat fried foods, grill them or steam them .the fried chicken i dont think is healthy ,during time it will clog up your arteries and you can suffer heart problems and colesterol.drink water and skim milk only for fluids.eat lots of fruits and vegtables they clean your system and keep you healthy
  2. your 14 you shouldnt be on a diet try just doing more exercise chick.your body is still growing just make sure you eat 5 friut and veg bits of red meat fish is good dont start smoking if your going to drink when your older dont drink OTT.exercise it's the best way to keep your body and heart in good shape.xx
  3. gain more pounds, i think you are skinny, wake up a little bit earlier, eat big breakfast, sleep earlier (that will make you wake up earlier) If you can bring your own lunch to school, that would be better, but i guess your school is OK, my school has the same thing XD
  4. yes your diet is so good and one thing take exercise daily and do sex within a week
  5. A good diet prevents ALL disease. You seem to eat quite a bit of processed foods, which do contribute to heart disease, and are quite lacking in vegetables and good fatty acids. Sticking to whole foods in their most natural form is the best diet for disease prevention. See this article and scan to the bottom for dietary guidelines to prevent coronary heart disease: http://www.westonaprice.org/moderndiseases/hd.html
  6. Yes i think your diet sounds pretty balanced, you are only 14 so dont worry too much, just try to cut out too many chips and biscuits and things like that, ask your mum to grill rather than fry any thing and be sure to exercise
