do i need to build my greenhouse in full sun?

We live in California and are planning on building a premaculture chicken/greenhouse. The greenhouse on the south side of the coop. We are finding a difficult full sunny spot. We plan to grow herbs, tomatoes and lettuces in it . How much sun will our greenhouse actually need?

1. 2-3 hours a day is enough.
2. not really . you could if you like build it in the dark. i think that is harder to do but still possible.
3. at least the morning sun or evening sun but yeah you need some sun light
4. Don't need a full sunny spot just so long as it gets ample light. Full sun might just fry your plants unless you have proper ventillation or someway of cooling the internal temperature. Lettuce in particular prefers a cooler temperature.
5. I would suggest making sure you have at least 4 hours a day. If you don't have enough light you can supplement with lamps. You can tell that you don't have light long enough by the plants growing long stems when they are young.
