  1. try www.kingsnake.com for all things leopard gecko - including incubation. also try Reptiles magazine-- local library should have back issues- for articles on leopard gecko incubation, etc. The mag is probably even online.
  2. Do you have a male gecko? Is he in the same cage with the female? If not, there are no babys in the eggs. They lay eggs like chickens do. Unless the male fertalizes them, you won't ever have babies. Unfertalized eggs rot. Warmed unfertalized eggs rot faster. Next time she lays eggs (and she will) throw them out before they stink. Don't breed. Leopard geckos aren't rare. It isn't as easy as it seems. You will lose money. Pet stores don't take them. You will be stuck with hundreds of baby geckos.
  3. Relax. When eggs rot like that, they were infertile. It is very common in the first pairs of eggs. Nothing you could have done. I kind of agree with the poster above. Breeding leos won't be profitable unless you are discovering some rare mutations. But if you find a "mom & pop" store that can take them you could be in the gravy. Just remember that they'd have to compete with Petco & Petsmart, who often sell them for $20...
