How often do average hens lay eggs, do you need roosters?

Can you have 6 hens, no roosters, and still get editable eggs. How often will you usually get eggs that are worh doing anything with.

1. Hens lay every twenty-six hours. So on average you get an egg per day. And no, contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need a rooster unless you want fertilized eggs. All eggs are edible from the time they start laying.

4. Hens lay eggs every 25 hours. They lay by the day light, so because they dont lay an egg everyday at the same time when it comes to afternoon they will hold that egg off until the next morning. Yes you can have only hens and get edible eggs, the only thing a rooster is needed for is to make baby chickens. Once your hens start laying eggs you should pick them up every day.
5. hens will lay 4 eggs in 5 days, therefore, they lay eggs just over a day apart. It also depends on the hen, some will lay less than 125 eggs in a year, whereas some, such as battery hens, will lay up to 330 eggs per year.
6. I love fresh eggs. You don't need a rooster at all unless you plan on hatching chicks. Hens begin to lay around 8 months, but it depends on the breed. Some may take longer, some may lay sooner. My hens lay one egg a day, sometimes they don't, but them there are days when I find six eggs in their box (I have three hens). It really depends on the breed of chickens that you have.
