- nooo dont cut them idk wt a spur is but dont cut them
- Use a Dremel and hold on tight.
- why dont you GET A VET TO DO IT?!? i would NOT try by yourself.
- I would not try to cut a roster's spurs. The best thing to do for him is to give him a rough surfaced area (Maybe concrete, or a rocky area) to spend some time on, to help grind them down a bit.
- Rooster spurs can be cut.. firmly hold the leg and brace the spur against some object like a table. Use a fine blade saw (coping will work) and cut the spur about 3/8 of an inch away from the leg. Cauterize the wound to stop the blood.. done.
- You can cut the spurs though it takes some doing. You need to be careful not to cut the inner spur which is growing under it.So you have to be careful how much you cut off.you would then need to file the end smooth. You can twist off the out spur but that entails more info then I can share here. You can consult a veterinarian perhaps they offer this service. There are some do it yourself books you can buy which can walk you through it.
