How do I make a Chicken egg Incubator. urgent!!?
Hi I have some little bantam eggs that were sent to me from Vic. I have a hen sitting on 9 but i want to incubate the rest. I have 2 fishtank water heaters with thermostats that could warm the water but now im stuck and need to design the rest. I dont want to use an electric frypan as i dont trust thermostat. I cant do any electrical wiring as such as Ive seen on sites. Any suggestions would be fantastic please help. Otherwise if anyone has one they can sell or lend to me even better.

- you can sit on them.
- The right size light bulbs could generate the heat. You do not need all that much heat, just the same amount as a chicken produces. You would need either a thermostat or a thermometer. They have incubators on ebay: http://business.listings.ebay.com/Poultry_Incubators_W0QQfclZ3QQfromZR11QQsacatZ66905QQsocmdZListingItemList
- The easiest thing: a wooden box with a light bulb inside. Thermostat is unfortunately a "must" unless you want to stick a thermometer in the box and check visually the temperature. It could be quite boring though.
- It's pretty easy. We did this alot growing up. Use a cardboard box, with an opening at the top (not real big, but big enough to release heat). Use a low watt bulb from maybe a lamp to heat the box. Be sure to keep a thermometer inside so you don't cook them. It always worked for us.
