How could you hatch an egg without putting it into a incubator?

I was wondering how could you hatch an egg without putting it into a incubator because i wanted to hatch an egg but i don't have an incubator, is there another way? EDIT: And also how would you keep it moist?

  1. put it under a chicken
  2. sit on it!
  3. Get a small basket, loosely wrap the egg in a soft small blanket and use a small desk lamp to place above it not too close but close enough so it's warm. Then place a very small dish of water so there is alittle humidity. Everyday very carefully turn the egg so the growth inside doesn't attach to the shell. After 10days or so you can VERY CAREFULLY use a flashlight to see through the egg to see if anything is growing inside. You should start to see little reddish veins.
  4. No, you cant. You can buy an incubator for low prices at trractor supply for 42 bucks that hold bunch of eggs. They need that heat to stay in an area and if u use heat lamp it only does one side. ANd incubator has humidity rings. they need moisture You can use a broody hen, thats the other choice
  5. You could technically use a heat lamp, a slightly damp cloth, and pay very, very close attention. However with the eggs requiring such specific constant temperatures, humidity, and everything else, it's usually much easier to let a bird hatch it, or use a good incubator, eggs tried to hatch any other way have a very, very, very, very low success rate.
  6. Hit it with a fork...... put in frying pan and eat mmmmmmm delicish!
