After the egg hatched from the incubator. How long should it stay there?
Do I need to put it in a box, put a light bulb to keep it warm?

- Yes. Leave chick in incubator for 24 hrs then put in a box with approx. 45 watt light bulb with fresh chick food and water for approx. 6-8 weeks.
- Hi it must stay in there until it is dry. You may then remove it They can stay in there for up to 48hrs with no food or water. Once its dry put it in a warm box with a light, water and chick food For the first two days add some sugar into the water, this will make the chick stronger. hope you have fun raising the little tacker =)
- Until a bird is fully fledged they lack the insulation of feathers to keep their body temperature stable. Yes you should try to keep a temperature of around 85 degrees or slightly more. A birds body temperature is higher than ours (around 104 F) .
- First of all, many birds cannot have too many fats in their diet. Why would sugar help? Second of all, keep it in 24 hours and then keep it in a box.
