Does anyone know where I could get chicken eggs and an incubator for under $20.00?
I was wonder if anyone knew where I could find fertilized, healthy chicken eggs and an incubator for all under 20 bucks. I checked ebay and google but I just cannot find any good ones. Also INSTRUCTIONS on how to build one that is proven to work, would also be appreciated. I also would need an instruction manual with the incubator.Thanks.

- you could get a couple chickens and have them make their own eggs.go to a farm store like tsc or look in your local newspaper to buy chicks for around $1.00-$6.00 a piece.when your chicks hatch you will need a small pen to keep them in and a coupe so they can stay protected unless you are going to keep them in your house or have a big enough yard for them to be free in.what are you going to feed them?you can buy chicken feed and corn for them.they also will need water to drink.
- Buy a live chicken. they don't cost five bucks.
- Here are some sites. Sorry, I don't have site for chicken eggs for sale I think. I didn't read everything I think. I might have. Good luck! It might be better if you have the mother or the chicken to have the chicks instead of being in a incubator though. If you are the first creature it sees, it might think that your it's mom. Such as wild animals, how they use puppets or something. Also, if you have Penny Saver, you can get live chicks or from the news. Don't get the chicks if you are getting them if they have to be shipped though.
- Buy you some chickens and let them do all the work!! It's cheaper that way. I don't think your gonna find what your looking for that cheap!
- You can get a few eggs for under 20 bucks from ebay -- just search for "hatching eggs 3" or "hatching eggs 6" to find small quantities. Fancy breeds are expensive but if you just want the expereince of hatching a few for pets, then try a "barnyard mix" which are not purebreeds and are often very cheap. Expect to pay about $10.00 shipping, though, because they need to go Priority Mail. Also, shipping eggs in winter is very risky because they can freeze in the mail trucks. I'd wait until the weather warms up unless you live in the south and are ordering from somebody living in the south. (In general, when ordering hatching eggs, try to get them from as near to your location as possible -- less shipping time means better hatching rate, because they are only viable for about a week.) Incubators under 20 bucks are harder to find -- although there is a mini-incubator model that sells for about $12.00 plus shipping. Search for "mini incubator." You can also find plans for making homemade incubators from styrofoam coolers -- search for "homemade incubator." These work but you have to turn the eggs 4 times daily and make sure the temp and humidity are constant, etc.
