what is the best method for dubbing the combs of roosters ?

If old english game roosters are to be used in shows thier combs must be dubbed.Could someone explain how i should go about this in the proper way.

  2. WHY is dubbing (or docking as we call it here in the U.S.) required for show animals?!?!? It's unnatural and inhumane. There is no need to dub/dock and animal. That's why they are the way they are in nature. We're screwing it all up by cutting parts off that we find "unattractive." If I personally think that your nose is too long, I don't order someone to come cut the tip of YOUR nose off simply because I don't like it. Seriously people...think about it from the animals' perspective.
