hatching chicken eggs in a incubator?
we just had one baby chick hatch from it's egg at 5:20 am this morning in a incubator that we have. My husband and I both went to work and we both work 8 hrs a day. I get home at 3:20 and when I checked on it it still was kind of wet? could someone tell me how long it takes for them to dry and is this normal?

- well with mine it took only around an hour to get fluffy. That doesn't seem normal. do you have the temperature and humidity right in the incubator????? HOPE THIS HELPED!!!!!!!!!!!!
- They only need to stay in the incubator for about twelve hours but no longer than 24. When you take it out (even if it still a tad wet) be as careful as possible. The humidity during hatch is very important a sudden drop of humidity can cause your hatch rate to severely decline. When you are ready to grab it do it fast to prevent the humidity from declining. It is ok if it a little wet, it will dry under the heat lamp.
