- Foam box with lid. Damp sand or water bowl for humidity. During your wet season probably enough humidity in air so then use dry sand One small electric tropical fish water heater, with adjustable temperature setting. One large sealed bottle of water. Bowl or container lined with feathers& or shredded paper. Place water heater into a standing sealed water bottle, making sure that all the parts normaly covered in a fish tank are covered. Not sure of tempature but other answers may know, Otherwise type incubator into google or try 38 - 40degres celceus. Next put damp (or dry) sand in then place dry bowl/ container with feathers/paper onto sand. place eggs in bowl & make sure you roll them daily so chicks grow properly. Place lid on top to trap heat in, but make some small holes for oxegen venterlation. Wait 18 to 21 days for eggs to hatch. Chicks will feed themselves at hatching but it helps to have older quail with them to show where food &water are. You only need a low wattage light globe at one end of cage to keep chicks warm ,active& feeding. Goodluck , be carefull with electricity. G'day & good bye mate from Australia
