anybody got any tips on making a homemade incubator?

1. What is the incubator for. Years ago when I was young we did young chicks. We used a small styrofoam cooler, with a light bulb set up.

3. I assume you are raising some type of fowl. I have raised ducks and guineas now, and i used my spare bathroom-but i live by myself. I kept the door shut to keep the heat in, and with the guineas i put a space heater in there that would automatically turn off and on of course. In the beginning i also put a heating pad-but unfortunately it was one that cut off after a time. I know the heat lamps are used often w/them but they have to be able to get away if they get too hot. basically i think you just need somewhere you can control the temperature for the most part..good luck.
