PEKIN DUCK EGG is HATCHING?

My Pekin duck egg is hatching in my homemade incubator. It has started to poke a hole in the shell. However, the humidity is only 25%. Will this hurt the hatching process or something?

  1. The temperature should be 100ºF and then you should be fine.
  2. If it can break the shell...you're okay. DON'T help it out of the shell unless you think it's in real trouble. It may take some time, but if you help it...the duckling generally doesn't make it. It's almost like...fighting it's way out of the shell, makes it stronger. Good luck, and congrats on the new baby!
  3. isnt pekin duck a chinese dish not a breed of duck. i know as a dish its a whole duck with the skin detatched then fried and baked after being marinated in a special sauce. as for your hatching thing. 25% wont hurt the hatching process.
  4. no they are not in danger
