Is it legal to own Roosters in Downtown Los Angeles?
A couple of my neighbors have confused Roosters that crow at all hours of the day/night. I don't want to assume what they are being kept for, but since there are not chickens kept with them, and there are no farms nearby - first guess = c.o.c.k. fighting (which I believe to be less than legal). Also, where would I report this? Getting tired of waking up at 1:30 to rooster noises.

- You know it's funny but many metropolitian cities still have a law on the book allowing up to two chickens per household! LOL Your best bet is to simply call animal control, they'd know right off the bat. And as a chicken owner, I can tell you they do crow all the time! If there's any source of light, they're talking. I can imagine a rooster in city lights figures it's daytime all the time... :)
- No, it is not legal.
- In Long Beach its not legal and that's L. A. county.
- Ha ha! The roosters probably aren't illegal, but their owners are!!!!!
- No in most city limits it is not ok to have any "farm" type animals
