chicken broccoli casserole?

i have this amazing recipe from my mother-in-law for a great chicken broccoli casserole. the only problem is that i don't have any broccoli (silly me!). i have cauliflower though. will the cauliflower just become a mess if i use it in the casserole or will it stand up and become as great as the broccoli?

1. I think the cauliflower would be okay....it cooks up just like the broccoli so you shouldn't have any problems.....
2. as long as you don't mind the cauliflower, i think you will be just fine, it may not be as great as broccoli, but it will be good. good luck!
3. Sounds like something my mom used to make called Chicken Divan. She used to make it with asparagus sometimes too and it came out great. Cauliflower will hold up to it if it's the dish I'm thinking of. Is it with a white sauce?
4. I have a chicken broccoli casserole recipe also, I always use the broccoli but I think the cauliflower would be a great idea. Just steam it so it is tender. I just might try this sometime. Thanks for the great idea. . . .
