recipe for chicken wings w/o barbeque sauce?
can anyone tell me a good way to make chicken wings without using barbeque sauce? any good way to flavor them or batter them?

- Try marinating them in terriaki sauce and honey... then put them under a broiler or bake them. Delicious
- You could use pepper or you could fry it with salt and butter.
- 3T Louisiana style hot sauce 1/2t Paprika 1/4t Ground Red Pepper (try other ground peppers for Hot/Mild) 1# Chicken 1/2c Blue Cheese Dressing 1/4c Sour Cream (we use reduced fat) 2T Crumbled Blue Cheese Combine Sauce, Paprika, and Red Pepper and apply to chicken. Bake covered at 375 for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake another 15 minutes. Combine remaining ingrediance for dipping. We also dip veggies after we run out of chicken (green/red bell peppers or celery). enjoy, BirdDog
- TERIYAKI CHICKEN WINGS 1/3 c. lemon juice 1/4 c. soy sauce 1/4 c. vegetable oil 3 tbsp. chili sauce 1 clove garlic, finely chopped 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. celery seed Dash of dry mustard 3 lb. chicken wings MARINADE: Combine lemon juice, soy sauce, oil, chili sauce, garlic, pepper, celery seed and mustard. Stir well, set aside. Cut chicken wings at joint and remove wing tips. Place chicken in baking dish. Pour marinade over chicken. Cover, refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Drain and place on broiler tray. Broil about 10 minutes each side with tray about 7 inches from heating element. Brush occasionally with marinade.
- Here are my Hong Kong style recipes, hope you like it. <<<<<<<< Grilled Chicken Wings >>>>>>>>>> 1 kg Chicken wings 2 tablespoon of honey mix with water Marinade: 6 tablespoon of soy sauce 2 tablespoon of cooking wine 3 cloves of garlic (crushed) 2 slices of fresh ginger (crushed) 3 - 4 teaspoon of sugar (adjust the sweetness as perferred) 2 teaspoon of corn starch Mix the chicken wings, garlic, ginger with the marinade, marinate in the refrigerator overnight or at least 2 hours Pre-heat the oven 180 degree C, bake the chicken wings for about 15 - 20 mins or until golden on all sides (turn occasionally). Reduce heat to 100 degree C, brush honey water over the chicken wings and bake for 5 mins (don't burn). Serve with garden green salad or potato salad. <<<<<<<<<< Salt baked Chicken Wings >>>>>>>> 1 kg chicken wings 400+ g sea salt garlic powder a bit of cooking wine 1) Wash the chicken wings and dry them with paper towels 2) Rub the chicken wings with garlic powder + cooking wine and set aside for 10 mins 3) Preheat oven to 180 degree C 4) Layer a piece of foil onto a baking pan, then layer the salt fully cover the foil, put a paper towel onto the salt, then line up chicken wings evenly onto the paper towel 5) Cover the chicken wings with another layer of paper towel, then add another layer of salt to cover the paper towel up, seal the salt with foil 6) Put the the baking pan into the oven to bake for around 30 mins (if the size of the chicken wings is big, bake 5 to 10 more mins.) 7) Take the chicken wings out from the foil, but the chicken wings back to the oven and grill till the skin is crispy (golden) 8) Serve with ginger dipping sauce + steamed rice While baking the chicken wings, you can prepare the ginger dipping sauce 30g+ fresh ginger (crushed or put into a food process to make a paste) 3 table spoon of peanut oil finely chopped fresh green onions salt soy sauce (optional) 1) Heat a frying pan with peanut oil, stir in the ginger paste, heat for 30 sec. to 1 min (add a bit of salt to taste in slightly) 3) Turn off the heat and mix the green onion into the ginger sauce 4) add a few drops of soy sauce into the ginger sauce (if desire)
