What is the best way to cook Chicken Wings ?

For example: should you fry them in cooking oil on top of the stove ? If so how long ? Perhaps cook them in the stove ? If so how do you cook them ? What temperature ?

  1. yes just fry them until they are brown and after put them in the sauce
  2. Try using shake-n-bake BBQ. It is really good.
  3. Check out Mercedes question about making up something in the kitchen.I gave her my answer for chicken wings!
  4. Cut apart at joints, reserving wing tips for stock. I like to soak the wing pieces in about 3 cups buttermilk and about ½ cup Tabasco about 8-12 hours. Then shake off excess buttermilk, but don'tdry them. Then dredge in seasoned flour and place on a parchmentpaper-lined (or oiled) baking sheet. Place in a 375º oven for about 30 minutes. Turn them over, and bake again, another 30-35 min. until crust is brown and crispy. These are so good, I think I"ll make some for supper tomorrow night! :D
  5. beat up and egg season your chicken with salt, pepper, season salt, and garlic salt then coat your chicken in the egg batter( after you have washed them in COLD water) then dip the piece thats coated with egg in some flour shake of excess flour then put chicken in a pan of hot oil turn down the heat to medium and cook till you see the juices running clear.. very good!!!!
  6. boil till done, refrigerate till ready to use, grill on bbq till brown, slightly black here there, , put in large bowl, sause, 1 cup reds hot sause, 1/4 pd butter heat till butter melts pour over wings and fold in , more butter less hot sause if you want,
  7. the best way to eat chicken wings is to order them from Hooters
  8. just marinate wings with soya sauce, ketchup, oyestersauce and orange marmalade if u want u can use some chilli sauce leave marinated for 2 hours then u can bake or fry or cook on stove top for 40-45 min,,its yummy.
  9. i season them with creole seasoning and put them in an iron skillet then pour red hot hot sauce until they are submerdged then they go into the oven at 400 degree for about 25-35 minutes. turning over every 10 minutes this is the healthy way to eat your favorite "hot" food without all the grease of frying and you get all the "heat" tate and no fatty after taste they may no be as "crispy" but to me their not supposed to be they are hot wings not fried wings
  10. kinda like kfc's yummy recipe 20 chicken wings, tips removed 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 large egg mixed with 1 tablespoon water 1 bottle barbecue sauce 1/4 cup honey PREPARATION: Heat oil until to about 350° in deep fryer, or use a deep heavy skillet or Dutch oven with enough oil to cover several wings laying flat. Wash chicken wings and pat dry. Whisk together eggs and water. Set aside. Mix together the barbecue sauce and honey. Make the sauce as sweet as you like. Put the flour into a food storage bag, then shake the wings in it, to lightly coat. Roll the wings in the egg wash, then toss them back into the bag. You want a fairly heavy coating of flour, so the BBQ sauce has something to hang onto. You may want to dip and shake 2-3 times, using more flour and eggs as needed. Fry the wings in batches until they're golden brown and crispy. You'll be baking them later, so don't worry about the wings being thoroughly cooked. Drain chicken wings on paper towels. Preheat oven to 325°. Once the chicken pieces are browned and drained, dip each piece into the BBQ sauce and honey mixture and place onto cookie sheets. Make sure the pieces don't touch each other. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they no longer look shiny and the chicken tests done (juices run clear when poked with a knife). Baking dries the coating out a bit and sets the coating so it doesn't fall off.
