- BBQ CHICKEN WINGS 24 chicken wings Vegetable oil 1/4 c. lime juice 3 tbsp. soy sauce 3 tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 2 c. ketchup 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. hickory seasoning Remove tips from chicken wings and cut remaining pieces in half. Brush with a small amount of vegetable oil and bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 1/2 hour. Combine lime juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, dry mustard, ketchup, garlic powder and hickory seasoning. Pour over chicken wings after they have baked for 30 minutes. Continue baking for another 30 minutes. Place under broiler for a few minutes before serving. BBQ wings may be prepared the day before serving, covered and refrigerated. Reheat for 5 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Crockpot Barbecued Beef : * 1 to 1 1/2 lb. roast, cut in large chunks * 1 cup chopped onions * 1 cup chopped green peppers * 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste * 1/4 c. packed brown sugar * 1/8 c. cider vinegar * 1 tbsp. chili powder * 1 tsp. salt * 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce * 1/2 tsp. dry mustard PREPARATION: Add ingredients to crockpot in order given Do not stir. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour; turn to low and cook 8 to 10 hours, or until very tender. Stir a few times during last hour. Shred and serve on warmed buns. Cranberry Barbecued Chicken Wings 18 chicken wings 1 can jellied cranberry sauce 1 1/2 teaspoons packed brown sugar 1 teaspoon prepared mustard 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Place chicken wings in shallow glass dish. Mix remaining ingredients in 1 quart saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth; cool; pour over chicken. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Remove chicken from marinade. Cover and grill chicken 5 to 6 inches from medium coals 20 to 35 minutes, turning and brushing 2 or 3 times with marinade, until done. Beef Brisket with Smokey BBQ Sauce 1 2-3 lb. fresh beef brisket 1 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. celery seed 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 C. ketchup 1/2 C. chili sauce 1/4 C. packed brown sugar 2 T. vinegar 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke 2 T. Worchestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Trim fat from brisket. Combine chili powder, garlic powder, celery seed, and pepper; rub evenly over meat. Place meat in 1 3 1/2, 4 or 5 qt. crock pot. For sauce combine ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worchestershire sauce, liquid smoke and dry mustard. Pour over brisket. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Remove meat from crockpot. Cut into thin slices across the grain. Skim fat off juices in cooker; serve juices with meat. Serves 6-8
