Making BBQ chicken wings; will Char Siu Sauce work?

The only type of BBQ sauce I can find is Char Siu Sauce (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Char_siu).

1. It would probably make a great BBQ wing sauce, even though it's usually used for barbecued pork, the flavours would be very nice.

If you marinate them, they get soggy and too watery. There's really no need to marinade when the sauce is tasty enough.
