Barbecue grill cleanup?
I have one of those flat grill "baskets" that I recently cooked up some delicious chicken wings. Problem is, alot of sauce burned on the grill and cleanup is near impossible. Any help or suggestions on how you clean these things?

- You can use oven cleaner. Spray on and let it set, then apply a little elbow grease. I've had luck recently with the Dawn Power Shot also, it cost more than dish soap but less than oven cleaner. You spray it on the baked on mess, let it set for 10-15 minutes and scrub away the greasy mess. For the outside grill, turn off gas, put a pie plate filled with amonia in the center of the grill, close the lid and leave it overnight. The fumes eat at the burned on greasy mess, then wipe clean with hot soapy water and brillo pads. I'm willing to go to the extra effort for grilling!
- Don't clean it off. That is how a grill top is seasoned. Just turn the grill on medium/ low heat and let it run with the lid closed for 10 minutes to bake the sauce onto the grill.
- My husband uses a wire brush to clean everything on the grill. He has for years and it works very well !!!!!
- I am unsure what the basket is.But I clean my grill by firing it up,get it hot and take a onion and slice it in half and rub it over the grill.(put it on the end of a long fork)Then take the onion pieces and throw them on top of the coals for a onion flavoring...hope this helps, be careful.....
