Can I bake chicken wings that have already been covering in bbq sauce?
I bought chicken wings and placed the wings in a ziploc bag. Then I added bbq sauce to the bag to marinate wings and transfered the bag to the freezer for future dinner. When I take out the bag to defrost in the fridge, can I just bake the sauced up wings in the oven, or do I need to add bread crumbs or cornstarch? Was it a bad idea to freeze the wings with the bbq on? First time making chicken wings from scratch-not already cooked and frozen in box. Thanks.

- the sauce will burn. try a covered baking pan with a little water. it's kinda steaming them instead of baking and burning . or wash them, add sauce once they are mostly cooked
- You can put them in the oven all saused up but i suggest that you cook on a low heat and grease the pan you would be cooking them in.
- You can bake them in the oven. I'd put them in a covered casserole or put foil over an open baking dish. Take it off during the last 10 minutes. It was fine to freeze in the marinade. I do this quite often. I use other chicken pieces to such as boneless breasts and boneless thighs. It sure make life easy when you need an easy cooking day. - I think you got ahead of yourself, Because they have the sauce on them now they would need to bake at a low temp. so the sauce wont burn on the chicken.
