what do you use to coat chicken wings for hot wings before you fry them?

- I dust mine w/flour and garlic powder before frying...try baking them...yummy...they get crispy from the flour coating Then coat them in your wing sauce
- I have always found its better to coat the wings with the sauce after you are done cooking them
- Texas Pete Buffalo Sauce. It's so good!
- Marinate them in sweet thai chilli sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, thai herbs, then bake them. My friend discards the tips and only cooks the other part. What a waste!
- I make mine by tossing them in buttermilk, rolling in flour (mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne) then frying. After they've been fried, I roll them around quickly in a butter/wing sauce mixture.
- I use eggyolk mixed with chopped garlic, white pepper and crumbread, mixed chicken wings in this recipe, then deep fried. Serving with chinese plum sauce, salt, red wine (precooked).
- The original Buffalo wings call for you to fry them first (plain)in a skillet and then simmer them in a sauce of Durkee's hot sauce and butter. This recipe came from my aunt in Buffalo and she's been making them this way for over forty years.
- I toss mine in a mix of Frank's Red Hot and Tabasco then bake for 45-50 minutes. Really simple and delish! Then I mix sour cream and fresh blue cheese and dip away! There's also a lot of good recipes on epicurious.com
