Chook Me!

My dog ate a whole chicken hot wing, what should I do?

My dad was making some hotwings and when he took them out of the microwave one slipped off the plate and my dog was quick to be on the scene and gulp it down as soon as he could. Any advice as to what I should do? -He didn't chew it. -This happened just 10 minutes ago. -It was a chicken hot wing. Help????

  1. nothing...dog stomach acids will do the work he didnt choak and the wing is probably in his tummy now....look at wild dogs they survive on that stuff
  2. Depending on the size of your dog, the bone will hopefully pass in his stool. If not, it could cause an obstruction requiring veterinary treatment.
  3. offer him a beer to wash it down? Dogs sole purpose in life is to eliminate wasted food. He did his job, what are you upset about? If he didn't choke on the bone, then he'll simply digest it all. (If he had choked on the bone, you'd already know...)
  4. Hahahahahahah. Laugh, I guess.
  5. Hey, he won't die[depending on what dog it is].Just cross your fingers, but he's most obviously not gonna.
  6. Chicken bones are BAD For dogs..
  7. if the dog isn't choking or looking sick you don't have to worry about it maybe give your dog water
  8. Unless he starts acting funny he should be fine, my beagle ate a rib once and he was fine, he probably felt a bit sick, though! Make sure to keep an eye on him, but other than that he should be ok.
  9. well, he took your food, you should eat some of his.
  10. Keep an eye on your dog. The hot sauce could, I guess cause diareah, (sp) but more importantly, chicken bones can splinter easily, causing death from internal bleeding. Most likely you will get lucky and your dog will be okay.
