Need help with making hot wings for superbowl!?

I am making some honey barbeque and spicy hot wings for the superbowl tonight. I have a bag of thawed out chicken wings and some barbeque sauce. The problem is I do not want to go through all the trouble of frying them and I wanted a healthier version anyway. I figured I would coat them with seasoned cornstarch and throw them in the oven to bake. Then take them out and swab them in sauce. Will they still come out nice and crispy if I do it this way?

  1. Why corn starch?? INGREDIENTS: 4 lb. bag party chicken wings 1 1/2 bottles Louisiana Hot Sauce 4 pkgs Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix 1/2 cup lemon juice 1/2 stick butter, melted PREPARATION: Spread wings in the bottom of a baking dish. Mix all other ingredients in a bowl and pour over wings. Bake at 400 F for an hour or until meat falls off the bone. Personally, I'd just bake the wings and then provide dipping sauces. My favourite is to mix equal quantities of fat-free ranch dressing and hot buffalo wing sauce. Definitely has a KICK!!
  2. when making wings. the number one tip is to DRY them before cooking. use a paper towel. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes then Broil for a few minutes to get the outside crispy

Brush chicken wings with Sweet and Sour Sauce; return to oven and broil about 2 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Serve with remaining Sweet and Sour Sauce for dipping. Yield: 24 pieces
  4. Dry them and coat in flour, then bake. Turn over half-way thru, bake some more, then sauce.
