Baking chicken...what temperature?
A friend of mine quickly told me a recipe the other day (we are all newly married and time is of the essence haha!). Anyway, she said to put chicken legs/wings in a baking dish and pour about 1 cup of italian dressing over it. She said to cook it for about 45 minutes (or until juices run clear..) My question is, what temperature would I cook this at to ensure tenderness??? Thanks!!! =)

- I bread mine and bake them at 350 degrees f....I bet its the same here
- 350 for 45 mins. the last 15 minutes uncovered.
- i would cook the chicken in a 350 degree oven. but cover it. you want the chicken to get done all the way through.
- 350 degrees
- Cover with foil for the first thirty minutes on 350 degrees, uncover and finish baking. The foil keeps them from drying out.
- Hi there, I would cook it at 350*F. Because my chicken always turns out perfeact when i bake it at this temp!! good luck!!
- 350F. But 45 min. may be a bit long for just wings and drums. Check the drums in half an hour.
- At least 450.
- I usually cook for 40-45 min in 400 degrees to 450 degrees
- 350 degrees
- I'd say cover with foil and cook it at 375 and leave the foil on during the whole cooking process. ALL pieces will be done and you won't have to pierce the chicken to find out.
- besides the oven temp, for chicken to be considered safely 'done' it needs to register 165 degrees on a food thermometer. Poke it through the thickest point.
- 180 degrees Celsius
- Either 350 farenheit or 180 degrees celcius. With baking chicken, I found that gently lifting up the skin on the breast and sliding a thin but wide wedge of butter over the breast meat itself and drawing the skin back over and then baking will make the breast meat very tender :) With your recipe, I would try covering the roasting pan with alfoil and baking until nearly done and then remove the cover for the last 15 minutes so the skin crisps up a little. Good luck :)
