Chook Me!

Should people be apologizing to the DIXIE CHICKS?

People were calling up bashing the Dixie Chicks, and the stations stopped pIaying their songs, all because one of them spoke up and said she was ashamed of GW Bush. Hmmmm.....no weapons of mass destruction in IRAQ. Economy going down the drain. Soaring gas prices. Seven months left before his end of term and he is trying to gear up for a war with IRAN.

  1. Whoa wait the Dixie Chicks are still around lol?
  2. no
  3. No.
  4. Those girls have nice girls.
  5. No. They made plenty of hay out of it. Move on ladies, move on.
  6. They are very anti-American and not very Patriotic. We should continue to boycott thier material. As for Iran, we need to deal with them once and for all and soon before they gain nuclear weapons. I appluad President Bush and his actions. So should every God fearing American.
  7. No WMD's was the only fact to your rant. They did it on foreign soil which you left out, and No they deserved what they got.
  8. Absolutely! They were a small minority of famous musicians who had the chutzpah to speak truth to power. They, as well as other anti-war activists and regular citizens who denounced this administration deplorable policies, deserve our profound and humble apologies.
  9. They wait for that and they'll be collecting social security wondering why they haven't heard anything. They can take solace in being right. Nothing else will happen and you can bet the ranch on that.
  10. GOD NO...when you mock your own freedoms as they did..they deserve truly what they got.
  11. NO! Those traitors are probably doing terrorist fist jabs in anticipation of an Obama victory that ISN'T coming.
  12. I am amazed at the people of this country who were angry at the Dixie Chicks for speaking their mind. We should admire them for that whether we agree with them or not. I happen to agree with them. I think Tobie Kieth is a pseudo-patriot. He capitalized on the war by writing songs in 'honor' of the troops (of which I was one). People are so quick to condemn others who don't agree with our president. "We are American so we must be the best of the best and our country is the best country in the world" I don't think that is so but a lot of people do. We aren't the best and it's because of our leadership. Our citizens are the best, but not those who take shelter under the White House roof. I am very patriotic. I spent 12 years in the Army. Being patriotic is not just saying "We're #1!" It's also saying that we have major problems...what can I do to help? I doubt anyone will apologize to the Dixie Chicks. As far as no WMD....I was saying that all along. I knew they weren't there. They were there at one time...but not when Tricky Dick Cheney and his butt buddy, Gorgeous George said they were. We look bad in the eyes of the world and rightly so. Our so called "leader' made us look bad and now it's time to fix it. Good riddance, George W. You and Dick Cheney are the reasons I hope there is a Hell.
  13. Yep. They saw through the BS that was GWB and just called it like they saw it. It wasn't that bad either if you watch the editorial and actually listen to the comments. W lied, he put the country into a recession, he is one of the most hated dictators in the world, thank God he can't force another election win through crooked dealings and stay in power for 4 more years. He was a disgrace in the military and even worse in Office. Amazing what nepotism gets you job wise though. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that one of his alcoholic pot smoking daughters wants to run for office and gets in somehow like dad did. Hopefully they get new machines by then with no hanging chads.
  14. For a country that claims to fight for the rights of other people in Iraq - it's unbelievable that freedom of speech (a basic human right) is not allowed in the USA - incredible!
  15. G.W. Bush and the whole White House Administartion should be apologizing to everyone!
  16. Hard to say sorry. We don't really know if they really meant it when they said they were ashamed. Most artists and actors were Bandwagon jumpers, bashing Bush without any reall concrete evidence of facts that he was wrong at the time. The only one I would believe would be Michael Moore, he did his research and he really laid the smack on Bush during the early years of his Presidental term. Anyone remember Farenheit 911 -- man, that movie roasted BBQ Bush!
