Why did the Dixie Chicks carraer fall after the shots at the war?

I have asked many ppl and found that non ofthem had a good answer, alwys told them that if we don't have feedom of speech that we are no diferent then any other country we have gone to war with does anyone hate the dixie chicks for this and why do you so mch? FINALLY educated answers :) ty, and ty again, makes sense guess just personal opion and such

2. If you don't get it by now, you never will. You need to have a deep, deep attachment to your country and to country music to get it.
3. freedom of speech goes hand in hand with freedom of choice let them uneducated over paid mouthpieces say what ever they want. they forgot that they have a Patriotic fan base, and when you PI55 those people off, well guess whos gonna stop buying their records. I am all for letting them say what they think is right, but if NO-ONE listens..then are they really right?
4. How did their careers take a fall?? Did you see all of the grammy awards they won this year?? I think it has propelled their career!
5. Let's say it again... The Dixie Chicks have "Freedom of Speech", just like all other American citizens. This means they can say whatever they wish without fear of fine or imprisonment. They weren't thrown in jail, fined or had any other legal action taken against them for what they said about the President. "Freedom of Speech" does NOT immune you from the consequences of your actions. If you say something that a number of people may find offensive, rightfully or wrongfully, they have every right to exercise their freedom of speech. This can happen either literally or symbolically, such as refusing to buy any more of their albums.
6. Because their fans were primarily southern, country Republicans who supported Bush. Their new album, of which is more in pop fashion, gave them a whole new audience.
7. When I was visiting London, one of the Underground posters of the Dixie Chicks had been vandalized. Someone had taken a knife to the eyes of the mouthy, short one. It was really noticeable because they have the world's most beautiful subway systems. So their big mouths have ired many!
8. No one said they couldn't speak. We have the right not to buy their records or go to their concerts if we want to. They didn't say it at home but instead went overseas to say what they did. We decided to not listen to them anymore . They can still say what they want.
9. The Dixie Chicks are doing better now with a world wide audience who loves their music than they ever did with the country hick fickle fans they had before. Their last Album has gone triple platinum. Thats pretty darn good.
10. They have won lot of admiration from all over the world for saying what most people believe is true and by not buying their records showed who the rednecks are and it didn't hurt their career overseas so who cares about the Country Music Awards they have 5 Grammys and showed that some people can stand tall and proud.
11. The problem with liberals is, they always forget that there can be consequences when you exercise your Freedom of Speech. You have the right to say whatever it is you want to. You also have the right to suffer the consequences when the majority of the people disagree with what you say. You also have the right to be labled a traitor when you say treasonist things.
12. I guess I'm a treasonous-traiter, then. I'm embarrassed that Bush is an American, I literally vomit at the mere thought of Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly needs more phone sex.....with 13 year-old girls who wear tube-tops. Sue my @ss, weasels! (not you....them uthur weezilz)
