Why all the fuss over the Dixie Chicks?

I applaud them for standing up for what they believe in, and find it reprehensible that they are being crucified by the country music industry just because they think, like most Americans do(according to most polls), that Bush is an embarrasment! Leave the Chicks alone!

1. Do you have a son in Iraq? Do you hear daily in Iraq that the insurgents feel more powerful everytime someone like those treasonous people speak? In world warl and ll, there was free speech too, but people were smarter then. You don't fuel the enemy. If a kid next door to your kid was beating him up would you like other people saying rah! rah! we all hate him too. Or would you like them to be nice and not fuel the flames? Think about it please. Dixie Chicks are American scum, they go to another country and talk bad about the man that is sending our troops into war. That USED to be treason.
2. Strangely materialistic Yankees. The can crucify their Dixie Chicks, they can spit fire against their own president for economic gain. This is the fallacy of capitalism. Perhaps American require a few more 9/11 and muslim-enforced 'burqua' (veils) on their mothers, lovers, wives and daughters to understand and appreciate what Bush is trying to do. He is trying to finish terrorism at their birthplace. Any relaxation and Americans would have to fight terrorism on their own soil.
3. I don't think the Chicks were talking about the troops as they have had songs about the military, and why should the Dixie Chicks not have the same damn right as any other American. Face it, this war is a tragic mistake started by George W. Bush. The war was officially over three years ago. Since that time we have had 2,587 military come home in body bags and another 100,000 wounded. They want the troops home, I want the troops home. 75% of America wants the troops home, alive and well, not fighting over some stinking damn oil to benefit the rich, while they scam you at the pumps. That's what irks me about some, they think the Constitution doesn't exist. Well is speaking your mind is so Treasonable, what would you call leaking a CIA operatives name because you didn't agree with her husband? How about starting a war that is probably illegal and damn sure not about terrorism as there were no terrorist in Iraq before we got there, they had NOTHING to do with 9/11. the terrorist on the aircraft were Arabs, not Iraqi? The war was over on May 1,2003 and the US had 173 KIA. Since then 2,587 came home in a body bag, 145 in the past 55 days, and over 100,000 wounded. We had 2 more killed while we were writing this! How many does it take before those for the war get off their A__ and take the troops place?
4. I agree, if you limit descent you have lost one more freedom and we have lost plenty during the Bush regime.
