Name of a band help please!!!!?

Okay so they're probably not someone everyone knows but i'll do as best as i can to describe them. Okay so they're kinda hip-hop-ish with some electro/dance. the lead singer is an african-american woman that usually is seen wearing bright colors and she has a unique singing voice. they have a myspace and last time i went on there, they had a lot of myspace pictures and albums with a lot of them performing in concerts or clubs. and i remember one video of theirs was grusome yet not in a gross way. Like for example it would be pretty violent in a way that one person would stab another and then (lets say sand) came pouring out of the persons body. and in the beginning the lead singer chick was on a horse with two other people beside her in this desolate scenery. i'm sorry i'm really bad at describing things but if you have ANY idea, please give me your best guess. and their myspace profile said they were from brooklyn. any guesses?! pls and ty. (and i remember a "gold" in the name)?? oh and i remember one picture which was one of their defaults on their myspace of just the lead singer, it was black and white, she was wearing a nice casual hat and just staring seductivly into the camera. it was a close up and the name of the band was stamped like across the bottom of the picture
