- Great Incubators you'll find it on EBAY or go to your local pet and feed store and they will point you in the right direction and get you set up
- See the following link for hand-made incubator: http://members.cox.net/lovetiels/incubator.html It takes 18-21 days for the eggs to hatch. Parents will want soft foods to feed the babies. I recommend steam brown rice, spinach, broccoli leaves and the flowers, bok choy leaves, and lettuce. Dark leaf vegetables are the best as it contains a lot of protein. I also add hard boiled eggs (egg yolk only) and a pinch of "Prime" vitamin in powder form. This helps the mother build her strength after laying the eggs and it benfits the baby by making him/her stronger. If you decide to hand feed the babies, take them out at 2 weeks and feed them 5-6 times a day starting at 7:00 am and ending the last feeding at 11:00 pm. Place the babies in a brooder with a thick layer of pine shavings (2 inches) and keep a heating pad under the brooder with temperature set on low. This will keep the babies warm. I use Zupreem hand feeding formula as it is the best on the market. I got two baby cockatiels that are almost weaned.
