Why is it that people genderize things? And when did it start happening?

I just wanted to know cause because stuff I do like aerobics and dancing (Ballroom,Latin,Hip-pop well mostly the ballrom and latin ) is gay or for girls. They also say that just cause I am a guy I should be pretty good a sciences and maths when actually "I SUCK AT" and at the same time they go at chicks who are good at sciences and stuff and are really good at sports which are classified as men only sports I dont nkow! What do you think?

3. its started happening long before we could probly ever imagine..lol...the main thing is since one gender has majorly done a certain thing like dancing for so long so its seen as a feminane thing and sports a manly thing cause so many men do it....like for me i when i grew up my dad was a carpenter i know about any and every tool you can imagine if i dont know the "technicall" name i still know how to use it..and i love doing it....and i think thats what keep me from having as many boyfriends in school ...they didnt want to be outshined by a girl in something thats considered a manly thing..i mean comon there girlfriend new how to use a hammer and they didnt kinda hurt there ego
