Can anyone suggest a good sports movie to watch over the weekend???

U know the only movie which at least mentions sport, that ive seen is Jerry Maguire and that was not too much sport(hmm..........maybe there was some sport between Tom Cruise and Renee Zellwegger). and the other one ive seen are the really stupid baseball movies which I honestly dont understand and then 'Wimbledon', a really dumb tennis chick filck. So can u suggest a really good sports(particularly soccer) movie to watch? I mean ovr the next weekend,rumman

3. A lot of the soccer movies are scant indeed on the soccer. What about Tin Cup (golf)?
4. Movie's I've seen (not in order of preference): 1. Rudy 2. Coach Carter 3. Dodgeball :) Also, I haven't seen "Bend it Like Beckham" but it is soccer related and I heard that it is good.
5. Happy Gilmore and Longest Yard...but those are not soccer movies.

7. "Bend it like Beckham" really nice movie. It has to do with soccer, its kind of girlie but its ok. (i think Keira Knightley is in it)
8. "Remember the Titans" is an AWESOME sports movie about a high school football team at a school that has just been integrated. it is a true story and stars Denzel Washington. that is what you should see

13. Mystery Alaska......... with Russel Crowe. It's about hockey in a small town and what 15min of fame does to a small town and the folks who reside there. I love this movie. Russell Crowe......whew! I also happen to live in Alaska.

17. some of my faves: (1)Goal! .... stars kuno becker, 'nuff said....lol (2)The Game of Their Lives ....a touching football film...it's based on a true story (3) Escape To Victory ....this is an old one but you have to see it.....Pele is one of the stars, lol. (4) Bend It Like Beckham ....for us girls if you like docus, there's one on Barca, i just don't recall the title right now...interesting, meaty stuff on how club ownership works. lotsa other stuff on zidane, real madrid, man u, etc. but all docus.if you're a man u fan as well (lol), look that one up...4 decades worth of highlights of all its classic games. it's something else, i tell ya.

20. As others have said Bend it Like Beckham is good. I also enjoyed "Fever Pitch" the 1997 film version with a screenplay adapted by Nick Hornby who wrote the book, this is fictionalised the story, concentrating on Arsenal's First Division championship-winning season in 1988-89 and its effect on the protagonist's romantic relationship. Not to be confused with the new American "Fever Pitch" which I have not seen.

25. the longest yard friday night lights remember the titans but those are all football movies. basketball movies: coach carter glory road SPACE JAM (my favorite out of the 3) :] i heard GOAL is a good movie. (beckham's in it a little i heard :D) and i like pink panther, its not really a sports movie, lol, but in the beginning is a 'france' game and its really hot (the goal the guy makes). haha. :) bend it like beckham was okay, beckham was in that a little too. :] omg, i just remembered SHES THE MAN, it was a comedy and all, but she played soccer in it and it was about soccer. :] it was reallyyy good. :] i know you said no baseball movies or whatever, but i liked angels in the outfield. :] and the benchwarmers. :]& breaking away was a good bicycle movie or whatever. :]
