I am tired of picking up a co-workers call time. How do I say no without making this person mad?
This co-worker is a crazed ex-biker chick. She is really hard core. I am tired of working all the places she doesn't want to work. I work as needed. She is full time. I do not get paid extra to pick-up her work. HELP!!

- She can't legally do anything to you if you just tell her you're not available when she asks, no matter how hardcore she is. She will only take advantage of you as long as you let her. If she gets mad, that is her problem to deal with, not yours.
- Seems shes taking advantage of you. If you never tell her no it will continue. Explain to her that you cant do it. If you need make something up or just be honest, tell her you dont get paid to pick up her work, and that you dont mind doing it every once in awhile, but not all the time.
- my motto is: you cant please everyone if she gets mad then she gets mad she has no right to be mad anyways so just flat out tell her NO
- 1.It sounds like it's in your job description to cover for her when needed. Check with your manager/boss if your job duties requires you to cover areas she neglect. 2. Or turn it around and ask for a raise because your doing more than your share of work and your being pushed beyond your limit. 3.Without offending anyone you can say I like to have a raise because I feel like I'm doing more then what's require of me. This is a good way to approach this biker woman.
