Chook Me!

I am raising 3 baby chicks and am looking for a heat lamp/light for them. What wattage is best?

Which wattage would be best for three chicks? I am currently keeping them indoors, and I live in Southern California.

1. I thinck its 60 watts!!
2. I have 15 chicks in a box and I have a 40 watt lamp and it keeps them at a very good temp. I also have 6 in another box with a 60 watt lamp but only because there smaller. make sure the box is big enough for them to be able to get out of the heat if they get to hot.
3. 40-75 watts but try and get a red bulb ok it's not crucial but the red doesn't mess with their growth patterns....
