My 3 yr old daughter tried to hatch baby chicks on her carpet and one egg broke.?
She had 3 eggs from the refrigerator hidden under her blankie to keep them warm. When she sat on her proud nest to hatch them one broke and she did not tell me about it until the next day. Now there's this nasty egg stain on the carpet. What is the best way to get it out?

- First I wanna say what your daughter did was cute... plain and simple. Even if a bit messy :) Here is a suggested way to clean it up: 1. Mix one teaspoon of a neutral detergent (a mild detergent containing no alkalies or bleaches) with a cup of luke-warm water. Blot. 2. Mix one tablespoon of household ammonia with a half- cup of water. Blot. 3. Repeat step one. 4. Sponge with clean water. Blot. Scrape up the excess egg with a spatula if there is any excess. Hopefully that will help you our :)
- How cute is that! However the stain isn't! Take 1 part dish washing detergent to 3 parts Hydrogen peroxide. Sponge it into the stain. Wait 1 hour and blot with a clean cloth, it disappears like magic.
