how can i acheive the goth-rockstar eyeliner makeup thing you see on chicks like amy lee (evanescence).?

i am a make-up novice, though. i know all about liquid eyeliner and blending, but i need some really good instructions. help someone!

1. I recommend a stick eyeliner. Darken around your eyes how ever dark you want. Then take dark gray eyeshadow. Swipe it around the areas you put the eyeliner. Then take your finger or a makeup sponge(those weird triangle like foam thingies). and smudge as much as you want. Try it with little makeup first then work up to more and more(to how ever much black you want on your eyes).
2. black pencil eyeliner... alot underthe eyes then smudge it withan angle brush or makeup sponge.. then lots of mascara on the top and bottom and dont be afraid of clumps just be a mascara whore and an eyeliner whore... remember to do the top too!!
