Do Wiccans have a dress code? I want to be identified as a Wiccan, without being a goth chick.?

- You can identify yourself as whatever you want. Why does everyone else have to know exactly what you're about just by looking at you? Grow up and get off the labels.
- i work retail in an Iowa town, we have several Wiccans who shop in the store. the only way they differ from my other clientele is that they wear pentacles instead of crosses. out of the dozen or so we have only one who dresses any differently. she wears loose flowing clothes (looks like a fairy tale sheik) that she looks fabulous in. so wear what u like, be yourself.
- Most of the Wiccans I know dress just like every one else. Dress Code? That sounds childish as well as miss guided. Kind of like a "Fluff Bunnie" thing. The way a person dresses has NOTHING to do with the Wiccan way of life! Some Wiccans would encourage dressing in Earth friendly materials, but then Some Quakers would encourage this too. http://shop.thehungersite.com/store/category.do;jsessionid=42D5E268DDF6CCC0C7F52CB69B47D063.prod-a?categoryId=279&link=Store_THS_LeftNav_279&siteId=220
- No. Some dress a certain way for rituals but most dress like everyone else does. Wicca is a religion..not a style or dress code.
- No, we do not have a dress code. And it harm none, /do what you will./ Dressing goth does not indicate that one is Wiccan. I think you should examine why you want to be visibly identified as a Wiccan. Wearing something small and personal can be inward reinforcement of your dedication, but to specifically seek something that will identify you as a Wiccan suggests you're looking for attention, trolling for trouble, or wanting to advertise your religion. Wiccans generally look like everyone else.
- I find the best way to be identified as a Wiccan is to be one.
- No, we have no dress code. Every Wiccan dresses in the style of clothing that suits their personal taste. Personally, my closet is full of stuff from Anthropologie and Banana Republic. I don't even know where one would go to make me into a goth chick. The only jewelry I wear outside of circle is my wedding rings. I really don't understand what you mean by being identified as Wiccan. Do you mean physically identifiable? That's not possible. Can you identify a Christian or a Buddhist by looking at them? Not generally. And I don't know why you'd want to.
- Then don't be goth. I've never understood the goth association with Wicca anyway. We don't see black as evil, but that doesn't mean we have to wear it. Wear whatever you want. I prefer bright bold colors like red, green, blue, and purple myself. I just look better in them, especially green.
- Wiccans don't have any dress clothes. I love anything vintage myself, and I love to wear crystals and religious symbols along with vintage treasures. Where what you want, Wicca is not a religion for sheeps.
- Some may have robes for some rituals, but other than that, just dress comfortably like everyone else you know. Your question is rather like "How would I dress if I wanted to be identified as Christian"? We all dress how we like, and generally if I see someone dressed goth, I do not equate them as being a serious student or practitioner of Wicca or witchcraft. BB )O(
